Very nice wood handle Nick, really gives the knife a different look to it.

For heavy usage, like field dressing a moose and couple deer, unless the wood is very durable I would still be inclined to go with micarta for mine.

I got to think about what size blade and I'll get you to use the red micarta you have in stock. Have a good Christmas with the family. I hope you finally got to make your son a nice knife.
 
VERY NICE!! Feels natural in the hand, comfortable, secure grip. Well balanced and hair flinging sharp. Very nice sheath as well, feels like it will last a lifetime. A buddy of mine is already asking for one. All this for 150.00??? :)
