Nice looking knife Nick, that's a classic NWA there, I like the two tone micarta

Thanks guys, I really like the way this one looks and feels. I need to get better with my photography though, the pic really does'nt show much detail. The blade has a nice hardening line that the pic does'nt show.

Nick:)

That's a nice knife, I have an NWA knife. Nick makes as good a knife and sheath as you can get IMO ;) if your looking for a sturdy solid user knife.

Nick great job I love the profile, but most especially the handle design. What inspired the cross
pin design in the handle's center? I think it's a brilliantly simple idea.

Thanks 408. I really can't say why I placed the pins that way, I've done it on a few knives ,and like the way it looks as well.

Thanks
Nick:)

I have sent email to Nick before, one of the great parts of his knife is the handle design  I like the way it locks your hand in for moving over the blade or slipping off the back end. You've got no worries working with one of Nick's knives.

Ah NUTS!! and I am broke at the moment...Someone buy my Winston! What is the spec edge to spine?? I have two of Nick's knives already- top dollar performance and fit that is hard to find.
Bill

Thanks guys. Bill, the edge to spine dimension is 1 1/16". Also I forgot to mention what the hardness is of this knife. It is 58-60 RC and I know the pic is bad but there is a hardening line.

Nick:)

I'd like to chime in. I have two of Nick's knives. I am very happy with both of them. The blades are practical, and the handles are comfortable. Fit is one of Nick's strong points. There is no place on either of my knives where you can detect a seam with a fingernail. The knives hold their edges, and perform flawlessly. I couldn't ask for anything more, except the option of a synthetic sheath. ;)

Thanks Tim, I am currently looking in to making Kydex sheaths. You are not the only one who has said they wished I did those, so I guess it's time I do it.

Thanks again
Nick:)

Well... Lets run this down one more time. If anyone has any negative comments I would like to hear them. Do you guys feel that this knife is priced too high?

Thanks
Nick:)

$150.00 shipped for a sole authorship 10.5" handmade knife with custom sheath with differential hardening? I would say that overpriced is not a concern whatsoever. Its a fine looking knife and one i wouldnt be afraid to use.

Personally I think this priced very well. If I needed a knife of that size right now, I would scoop it up.

Regards.

Agreed. That knife is worthy of good Kydex sheathing. Only problem with Kydex? I've seen good knifemakers do "alright" jobs on Kydex sheaths. Kydex seems difficult to work with?

It's a very nice looking knife, but to my eye the handle looks to be a little on the thin or small side. (width wise) That's just my feeling going by the 1 pic, but obviously I wouldn't know for sure till I had it in hand. Just my $.02 since you're looking for feedback.

Nick,
I am still working on deals to have free cash. If anything I think the 1/8" thickness on a longish blade may puzzle some. Usually 1/8" thickness is seen on knives under 4"... just a thought.
