O.T. Prayers needed. Granddaughter again.

More smoke sent tonight Edutsi...hope the song was sweet enough...

Edutsi,

I'm so sorry. Prayers sent and continuing. It breaks my heart to think of such a little girl going through so much--and just as much for you and your family to have to watch her suffer.

:(

I just saw this; Jessica isn't forgotten here either. I'm so sorry you and yours have had to go through so much lately Yvsa. None of this ever gets any easier. :(

Like I was hoping yesterday, that No News is Good News that's what it kind of turned out too be. Jessica is a ways from being out of danger but with all the Smoke & Prayers and, the Drs work, some good things have happened, as well as a bad thing.

Jessica is a fighter and fighting she has been doing!!!! Her Fighting is GOOD, makes her Stronger!!!!:D
Her b/p is now fairly steady at 120/60 which the Drs are happy with at the moment.
But the bad thing is that Jessica has contracted pneumonia, or at least has fluid on her lungs, with her white blood count still pretty high methinks it's hard to say.
It could possibly be the result of not coughing like she should have when she was coming out from under the anesthetic too, but anyway the problem is there.:grumpy:
With everything being done including the massive doses of antibiotics it seems the septic shock isn't as much of a danger as it was yesterday, but that still scares me as I know what it did too my friend Bob.:(
Stella called a while ago when the nurses were going to try and intubiate Jessica to draw some of the fluid off and Jessica clamped down and wouldn't let them insert the tube down her throat.
Consequently she had it done the hard way and they went up through her nose.
Jessica is stubborn and with all the medical problems she has had, very spoiled.
And momma can't stand too see her baby girl forcibly handled which I don't blame her and the spoiling in this case may be a good thing just because when Jessica doesn't get her way she stubborns up and fights.
Hopefully she will fight enough that it will keep her alive. There was some talk of a respirator if they hadn't of been able to intubiate her and draw the fluid off. Thankfully it looks like that won't be needed now.:D
The next thing will be trying to get Jessica up. They tried this morning but she refuses too move, says it hurts.
We'll see what happens later today.

Updates here as I get them. Many, many, thanks for the Smoke and Prayers!
They are much appreciated!!!!:D

At least it's moving in the right direction. I'm very happy to hear that your grand daughter is doing a little better:) Continued smoke and prayers from the toe of Indiana.

One tough kid. :)
Yes she is. I'm a little less stressed this morning after hearing about how last night went, but still not happy. Jessica will always have to be looked after in some way or another as she will never be completely able to take care of herself competently. All of Stella's kids are in a special school of some sort or another. The oldest boy Michael is doing the best. He is in Jr. ROTC and looks very handsome in his uniform! :)

Somkehow I missed this thread for several days. Hope she is getting better and you have smoke and prayers going up from a rainy overcast central coast today. All the best wishes and prayers for a quick recovery.

Norm
