October 2025 BOTM - 101, S35VN, El Dorado Richlite handle

I wouldn't have minded a Halloween themed one. But this one works too. I have one on order. I think I skipped the last 2 or 3 BOTMs. Redhill Cutlery made a Halloween Buck I ordered a while ago.

I called it where’s my prize.

I’m in, hope I like the handle. Looks like a fantastic trout opener.
Nicely done! You might be the closest I've seen. I think the prize is a handclap from all of us, and a BOTM from Buck Knives Inc. Buck Knives Inc.

Or maybe a sticker.

Actually, just applause all around. But nicely done, all the same.

Iron wood is orangish isn’t that close enough? If they want something Halloween how about smooth bone .

Fixed 110 with ironwood. Idk if there is a number for that? Like the 152.

Or how about a nice 493, just starting to get the honking flyovers.

A sweet knife! I have not tried a Richlite knife yet. Normally I would be all over this, but I am way over my knife budget for the last couple of months. It pains me to pass on this one. (I'll see if I can hold out long enough for these to sell out.)

[Edit:] I actually have the Aug2023 BOTM, which has a Richlite handle.

It is a fixed blade barehead version of the September 2019 BOTM. I'm in.
Wish they had gone with a brown distressed sheath though. Would have been a better match.
I'm easily confused, get lost, not sure what I am doing - and all before I start drinking. But I don't understand the comparison to the 2019 Sept BOTM ? Steel and bolsters ? Just trying to make sure I'm not missing the obvious : )

2019 September | 110 Folding Hunter | S35VN, drop point, genuine Cocobolo wood handles with nickel silver bolsters. Brown distress leather sheath. Pine Box
150 Made / $200

Did anyone have the free Rival III knife added to their order? Supposedly added automatically but it was not. Is there a special code?

I'm easily confused also... just saying they outwardly look very similar excepting the bolsters. Yes there are differences and I could have worded it better.

We released the May BOTM. A 112 Slim with Magnacut blade

It's pretty good, but I could also go for one exactly like it but less "pretty". Crushed orchid is maybe too pastel. And I was tempted, but quite certain Buck wouldn't put "BMF" on the blade for a full Sammy L. tribute, so I got the similarly deco'd Boker auto for a buddy of mine...

This month, though, very nice.

I think you’ll like the handle. I have the 2023 Legacy 110 and it feels great in the hand. Granted, mine is a safe queen so I haven’t actually used it, but just handling it a little, I really like it.

And I agree - it does look like a great trout knife. Better than the folding drop point.

Here’s a picture of the 2023 110, also barehead in nickel silver. Not my picture, just grabbed online.

I'm still on the fence if I want this one ... I'm not a big 101 fan .. and I already have one collectable 101 (The BCCI Elk Handled one) ... Still ... something about it is, well calling to me, might be a bit strong .. something about it is whispering to me, "Buy it! Buy it before it sells out ..."
