October 2025 BOTM - 101, S35VN, El Dorado Richlite handle

I'm still on the fence if I want this one ... I'm not a big 101 fan .. and I already have one collectable 101 (The BCCI Elk Handled one) ... Still ... something about it is, well calling to me, might be a bit strong .. something about it is whispering to me, "Buy it! Buy it before it sells out ..."
The BCCI elk handled drop point 101 is "the one" to own.
😉

You can be on the fence if you are deciding if you "need" it. But, of course, you "want" it. 😀

I wish these would sell out... I'm weakening. I have two 101's already - clip and the BOTM drop point. I have two of the 152's as well which I like a little better. This one does appeal though...
Yeah, it's a great looking knife.
I just don't care for how the handle feels in your hand.
I have the 113 and the 110. I decided to pass on the 112, and now this.
I collect 113's so I'm keeping that.... The 110 I'll probably sell.
✌️

You are right...
If I were to carry and use this 101 I would bevel the curved edges inside of the scallops. I haven't handled the others with scalloped Richlite.
It's funny, when I buy a knife I always envision using it. And that doesn't happen realistically.

I think that knife looks great. But I can only imagine the hot spots you would encounter if you gave it any serious use.

Your idea of rounding the handle edge would probably make it more comfortable.

I have bought quite a few knives with the intention of using them. Only a few get placed into service. Most recent one was the Stealth Run #10 Slim Elite, which I thought would replace the Slim Pro that I carry the most.
I know that my problem is I'm so set in my ways that anything new and different is just not comfortable. Go figure!

Slim Elite, yep.
I've carried mine twice.
😁

Part of my problem is I bought all these jeans I wear around the house that have that "leather" front pocket protector, and you can't carry a knife with a pocket clip.

I don’t know. I think my 110 with the same scales feels pretty good in the hand. But for what I paid for it as a Limited Edition 2023 Legacy series knife, I haven’t used it, so I wouldn’t really know for sure.
