Will the 58mm SAK "Signature" or "Mini Champ" refill work?I should try to find a compatible refill for the ballpoint pen on this knife...

Good idea. I'll take a look, if I can find where I put it after taking the picture. Will the 58mm SAK "Signature" or "Mini Champ" refill work?
How do you like those José da Cruz knives? I have heard good things.I'm not sure these quite fit the definition of oddball as I suppose it's mainly the handles that make them different. To that end, I think I recall reading here once about a knife handle made from a stabilized coprolite.
An Italian 'Roman' pattern, complete with ratchet and carved dog's head. Not quite as amazing as yours, waynorth

A checkerboard handle; the checkers are corian with ebony at the ends and core.

These two are quite literally lacquered sticks, smoothed a little, but basically raw.

They're great! Similar to opinel, but a lot more character. I also have this one made with a spent .50 cal cartridge (I suppose it could fit in this thread) and another one in stag. All are rather inexpensive. Mine are carbon steel but they make them in stainless as well. How do you like those José da Cruz knives? I have heard good things.
Just got an oddball yesterday. Combination catapult/slingshot and knife.
Knife has clip, flipper stud, thumb stud, and a not traditional forums approved liner lock, so I don't "think" I can show the knife in this thread.
However! since the catapult/slingshot fork and (quote-unquote) "Glass Breaker" are interchangable with the push of a button, I "think" I can show them without upsetting our fine Moderators.

If the Moderators approve, I have a picture of the knife with the fork installed, and all the "no no" bits covered, that I can edit in.
I did show it off in the General's 'Your Strangest Knife' thread, if any care to look.
Very cool RachelI should try to find a compatible refill for the ballpoint pen on this knife...

Thank you Isk. I think they were very much a status thing, something a rich feller might give to his missus, so she could wave it about near some fruit, while he retired to drink port and cigarsVery nice, Jack! Great to see the size comparison. Do you maybe know if this has something to do with whether or not the knife was intended for a woman or a man? I've ogled some American fruit knives, those usually have silver scales as well and often a women's name engraved. I was wondering what the situation in Britain was ...
That's cool Rachel, I have a few small nail-clippers, with similar action, and the Tols of a Vic ClassicI don't know if this is too new or modern for this thread (I'll delete if so)
It is a slipjoint, and torx screws seem to be tolerated on The Porch these days, but do I see a pocket clip?
No! It's just a folding nail clipper!
