Ode to My son Scott and a Message to parents

I'm sorry for your loss, and my heart and prayers go out to you.

Folks don't just look out for kids, this drug has ruined just as many adult lives if not more, this stuff is highly addictive and is not tolerated well in large doses.

Some people treat them like vicodin, they're much more dangerous.

Robert, you and yours will be in my prayers.

Wife and I are slowly getting thru the healing process and getting professional help as well. Thanks for all of your prayers and well wishes they are appreciated.

Cops called to the scene were thinking it was a Suicide since he knew I was to pick him up that day to work with me.
Told Em NO it was an accident...
Medical examiners report came today and Cause of Death Was "Acute Morphine Intoxication" Death was "Accidental"

Cried again today, but it was because I miss him and because of the pain my wife has been thru.
Grinding thru the tears has kept me sane...Thanks for Being there

Robert, I have been reading and rereading your post and the ensuing posts for a fair time, now, and I have not been able to come up with anything adequate to say. So, I will simply say how sorry I am for you and your family and that I will be holding you and yours in the Light.
 
Robert, I don't have the right words,... i never do.

Just know i feel an immense amount of sorrow for you and your wife. I have no idea what you're going through, but just know we're all here for you.

He was one good looking kid.
I'm very sorry. I would like to think this will never happen again to anyone.
You're brave and honorable for trying to get the message out about these drugs.

May you find all the strength in the world to get through the pain.
 
Robert, you don't know me, and I'm kind of a goof, but just know that I and tons of others here are hurting about this situation. I hope you can some day heal and find strength from your son's memory.

As much as this is affecting me right now, I can not imagine what you have gone through. I am sitting here welling up due to your tragic loss.

Sorry to hear about your tragic loss. If your post serves to warn people about the demons of drug addiction you've done a wonderful thing in honor of your son. Such a horrible thing for a parent to experience...it's not the natural order of things in this world.

Minor meds and Pro counceling has helped. Support and caring from my friends here I have found comforting as well. Off on vacation next week...we need it.

Thank you for sharing Robert. Those who have not been there can't know the pain. You and your family are in our prayers. The loss never goes away but the good memories will remain.

It is not children of today but but just children. They are the same as any other child over the years.

All want excitement, try new things, get attention, be part of, or just finding one's self.

That is part of life. The only thing now is life is faster, it not playing ball for fun but playing on the internet, video games etc.

To understand what a child is going through is to remember what it was like for you.

People forget when they beome "adults" like they never was a child. you know those words when I was your age we never did things like that and so forth.

Drugs been on the scene since the 1950s , from sniffing glue, to weed to crack to XTC. It will be here and is not going any where.

Talk to your child. show them that you have been there done that. even if you haven't done anything close to the problem but remember everybody has been a teenager or will be one.

Remember the old African saying , "It takes a village to raise a child"

Hard to tell but it is 1.2acres with a creek at the bottom of the revine that is at the end of our property. Yes it does have fish!




Leland and Myra’s home Place we stayed on our vacation a week ago. We had a great time


Farm House across the street from Lelands place He owns it and all the land surrounding it. In the process of putting in a Drivinig Range and converting the Farm house to a B&B---Will be cool when done!
