Vince, that's red over black g10. It gives it a subdued maroon look. I'm glad you like it.

Jared on that maple jack,is that maroon liners ? Man that is one nice looking knife . Fantastic knives

Tyson, I'm always surprised how well the hand rubbed finish holds up to abuse. It does especially well on CPM 154.

Thanks for the kind words guys. Here's another I finished recently. Etched O1 with curly maple covers.

I'm going to put you all on report if you don't start putting the photos on the NEXT PAGE!:p:D

VERY nice work J - keep it up.

When I see your name on this thread, I wonder what's in store, and I am never disappointed. Something new and
different, I must say I am not a fan of wood covers, but this is truly handsome! As usual J, terrific!

Jared,
You're making some of the best looking knives. I really like your use of colors and materials. Super job on all.

~I didn't realize you were making fixed blades until I saw them here on this thread. Those are excellent as well.

Jared,
The one with the curly maple covers arrived at my door about 2 hours ago and it is sublime. Perfection in every aspect including the fact that it was delivered today,on my sons fifth birthday and the first thing it cut into was his birthday cake! When I saw the pics yesterday,I did not want to assume this was mine but all the aspects we had discussed throughout the design process were present.

Thank you for your effort ,patience and the craftsmanship you put into this piece,it will one day be my sons, but until then,I'll be sure and keep it safe.

I sure am glad he is but five!

Thanks again for all the kind words everybody.

Mark, I'm really glad you like it. Enjoy it!

Here is another I finished up. Haven't done a WT for a while so I thought I'd go bold with this one.

J, your work is always bold my friend, but this one is very bold. Am I noticing an over-sized federal shield? Big and bold.

Thanks again for all the kind words everybody.

Hello Jared,

You keep cranking out wonderful knives! Great work! Is that spectra or kevlar in the yellow/black knife? Do you lay up your own handle material? I tried unsuccessfully to make a kevlar/cf scale and it was very hard to eliminate the fuzz at the edges. I abandoned that idea for time being.....

Nathan

Thanks all!

Kevin, that is a big oversized shield. Seemed fitting. ;)

Nathan, the yellow is actually an odd lot of yellow canvas I lucked into.
