Oeser Knives...

Looking forward to seeing the ebook, WIP's really enhance the knife making, owning experience!

Here's a knife Jared made recently. It's a Zulu and it's super. The work is top notch and the detail of the knife is outstanding. The nail nick is exactly in line with the swedge, the blade grind is dead on. It's just purfect! Jared asked me about a color idea for the handles. I sent him a picture of an ocean wave and viola!
Most of the pics are Jareds and the last is one I took with the knife over the wave picture I sent him! (pardon the black looking metal) Enjoy the pics!

It's art, it's all art, brothers!

Awesome--Jared has really mastered the Zulu pattern and made it his own. I love what he has done with it. Enjoy that fine piece!

Cheers,
Daniel

What a beauty

I'm really glad you like it Randy. That ghost jade g-10 is no picnic to work with but looks so cool when it turns out. Should look even better once a patina forms on the blade. Enjoy!

Love Ghost Jade G10.

I bought some pieces once, that were G11 (same color, but the weave in the glass seems tighter). It is supposed to be more fire/heat resistant. That stuff was so stinking hard to work!

This stuff is not hard to work as far as durometer hard, just very finicky stuff.

I've been itching to try some Westinghouse micarta and it turned out pretty sweet. Just wanted to share some pics of it.

That's a sweet knife Jared. I really like the Westinghouse micarta...sigh. :(

What blade steel did you use?

So um, Jared.... Can you go ahead and make our 2013 BF traditional forum knife? :)
Same color, but I guess we need a half congress jack, 3.5-4", for around $100. C'mon, I know you're good for it!

Thanks Guys, and no worries Christian. When things change just give me a shout.

I used CPM 154 on this one. Came in at 61 RC. Incidentally this is the first time I have used a sub zero quench and I tell you it made a noticeable difference (at least to me). This puppy is a mean slicer.

Mike, funny thing is I am getting ready to build a congress jack at 3.5" but I think it will be just a little over the $100 mark. ;):D
