Oeser Knives...

Sure thing man! And thanks for the compliment.

I was supposed to do another one for an Oeser folder but I think he's a tad busy at the moment.

Love that ebook!
Thanks for posting the link.
If you do get to do another covering a folder that would be awesome.

Well it's pretty likely that Jared will see this, so hopefully he'll let me know if he's still interested! And preferably before winter, lol.

CL great work on that eBook- can't wait for your next one covering a folder build (hint hint!) Best Jim

Oh, you know I'm totally in for a folder e-book. If I can get a few things taken care of in the next month or so we're doing it. Should go a lot smoother too.

Thanks for all the great comments on my knives too everyone. I have to say that ironwood is one of my all time favorite handle materials.

J,

That ebook is super, the WIP's really puts a face on the amount of work the goes into completing a custom knife and simply

puts a face on the cost.

That e-book is the bomb! Gives a lot of insight into what really goes into making a knife at Jared's level. Makes one wonder at what goes into making a knife for the makers the next level or two up. Actually gives me a headache...

My Oeser is my vacay carry this week...

So over the last year I've becoming an increasingly bigger fan of traditional folders, and one of my favorite makers in that genre is Jared Oeser... I was fortunate enough to snag this in his flash sale last week... Pretty slick knife...

Blade: 2.5"
OAL: 6.5" (open) 3.75" (closed)

Weight: 2.6oz

Jared really makes a slick knife, finished to perfection. He's known for using modern materials in combination with traditional patterns, this one isn't really an example of that. The scales are African Blackwood, and the blade... oh that blade...

A nice even handrub on the O1, should keep it from developing too aggressive of a patina, and it looks silky smooth!

Very slick profile when closed, carries great in a CRK leather pouch.

Really nice F&F man...

I've found that I prefer 3 3/4 slippies... I dunno larger traditions seem to fit my hand better...

Perfectly proportioned ( love the "fatness" to the handle ). Looks like it fills the palm and feels good in the hand. Lovely shield reminiscent of Remington.
