Golly dog, that's perfect! Once again, Oeser reimagines the old into something new and interesting while remaining within the 'classic' fold.

Congratulations on such a fine piece!

This knife is as good as Jared can make. Well ... a great knife. I love the pattern and the scales. Gongrats

Twinge of jealously .
I get a indescribable pain down deep in my gut :)
I have no idea how to get one , but I would love to have what would probably be the first Oeser knife in Australia ( some lucky Aussie will now post up pics of their beauty and blow my dreams to smithereens )
I would cherish any knife made by Jared , but a single blade Sheepsfoot is what I see as I drift off to sleep at night :)

Well, I own one of his large Gunstocks. Two blade, spear warn cliff combo. I can't really complain, but it seems every time I get money set aside for more, life happens.

I had enough squirreled away for two more of his folders, but an incompetent accountant took care of that! (His second huge screw up, so I'm done with him!).

I usually try to stop by Jared house when I am in his neighborhood, but this summer I had too much planned while visiting his neck of the woods.

It is always lovely to see what he has in the works, and recently finished. I would have loved to have handled it.

This one is mine. The paper micarta is aging very well!

I knew when I saw the coconut husk a while back that Jared would have to try it out. Looks good. Like that pattern too.

Jared, you keep coming up with new ideas/designs and always seem to be topping yourself.

It's exciting to see.

Keep up the great work!

Tony, that half-Congress is on exceptional knife. It's neat when your trust in the artist is confirmed like that. ;)

Thanks for all the kind words guys and gals. Tony's knife was a fun one to make and the micarta really looks a lot better in person.

BTW, I am pretty sure there is at least one of my knives in Australia.

Tyson, that micarta is aging beautifully. Sorry you weren't able to make it by this time around but we'll catch up next time.

Sorry as this one has been posted earlier in the thread by its first owner. It now resides in the UK with me:) Hands down my favourite knife:)

It had been a while since I contacted Jared about building me a knife. I had specified a half congress, but I wasn't sure when it would happen. Jared contacted me to ask if the interest was still the, which it was. I wasn't to particular about the handle material, as I knew Jared would come up with something different. He told me he had some coconut husk micarta that he would like to use, and I was intrigued. The knife came today, and I was blown away. It is different than anything I have seen, but works so well with the knife. under the micarta is blak and white G10( the white almost looks light blue). Here are Jared's pics of the knife-enjoy:
