Oeser Knives...

It's done and on it's way as of this morning. In his own words, Here is the Native LB Whittler Prototype complete. Final specs are 3 7/8" closed with blades of CTS-XHP. Pull on all the blades is a nice easy 5-6 with the master having a lighter pull.
Everything nested together nicely and flows beautifully. And of course the back springs have to be seamless. Hope you all enjoy this one. It's something I never dreamed I could have built just a few years ago.

Jeff

Wow true masterpiece

Aside from the knife itself, I hope you enjoyed working with Jared as much as I did :)
Congrats to both the new owner and the talented maker ;)

Fausto,
Jared and I have been friends for a few years. I was fortunate enough to come across a photo of his work and the rest is history. He and I have split a room at
"The Blade" show the last 2 out the past 3 shows and the intention is to meet again this year. His work has grown precipitously in attention to detail and overall quality.
A talented man on many levels, construction, residential and knife construction and also in graphic design, which is how I made my living. But most of all a dedicated family man
and the Father of 5 beautiful children. Dealing with him has been an extremely positive experience, different from anyone else I've dealt with.

Jeff,
I don't know if I'll ever meet Jared personally, considering how far I live. Yet, when I saw his knives, I got hooked, and after talking with another member here (towards whom I am very thankful), I decided to get an Oeser, which is my most carried and cherished knife for both the quality of the knife, and the pleasure of the whole process. So, your words do not surprise me the least :) and I look forward to working with him again ;)

Well boys, the mail was just delivered and brought me a special package. It was like gently peeling back the layers of
an onion, to reveal the GORGEOUS Oeser Native lockBack Whittler Prototype. Just magnificent, the Ivory even more glorious
in person. I took a down and dirty iPhone image, with all the careful packaging.

Jeff

Congrats Jeff - That's a special one

That's a keeper :)

Wow, thanks all for the kind words. This Native LB Whittler has been about a year or so in the making and really came together better than I could have hoped. A Huge thanks to the Old Dog for sending me his LB Whittler pattern and providing me the info I needed to make this come together.

And I couldn't think of a better person to have it Jeff. I appreciate your patience with this one and as always your friendship.

- my goodness

Not just a Whittler, but a Lockback Whittler.

Great score, Jeff.........a stunner - and, hats off to Jared, to say the very least.

I have one s/hand of Jared's - a single-blade lockback - and it's the silkiest smoothest lockback I own and have ever laid hands on
