Two new blades that might just hold me over until the new Beckers come out.

Thumbs up on a new phat bob owner. Lurve mine to a slightly unhealthy degree.

Nice phat bob! I have seen in some youtube videos that people say the edge is pretty thin due to the hallow grind and the geometry in general. Any of you guys with them have problems with them? I love the way they look with the exception of the empty hole for the pocket clip. Have any of you done any or seen any mods to remedy this? Seems like a step up from the dozier folders.

I got a tiny, tiny chip in the edge of my D2 phat bob. It was not from abuse or hard use as I'm careful with my PBs. I think Moose has chipped the living he** out of one or two, but he's not a good example because I think sometimes he just likes to show off :D The PB has a very specific design; a wide-blade folder that is ultra-slicey, versus a lot of wide-blade folders that tend to be more stout and general-purpose. Honestly I think a lot of Dozier's designs look like skinning knives and the PB seems no different.

I have not seen any mods to fix the annoying second clip hole. I've got some mesquite on my bench that I'm going to stabilize and make some new PB scales out of someday, basically to fix that one 'feature'.

Don't let any of the above make it sound like I don't love the living heck out of my PBs though. They're too big to carry at the office, but once the weekend rolls around I get it in my pocket as fast as I possibly can.

Off for a few days. Today is the wife and I's anniversary. Rented a little cottage on the lake. Should be fun. Talk to everyone later.

I called in to work today. The snow and ice are gettin too crazy for most people here and I do not want to be on the same road as most of those bad/stupid drivers. So I guess I'll have to try to get some sheath work in today. Gotta make some money somehow :D

Stay safe bro!

Will do. I'm not worried about it; it's everyone else doing stupid things out there. We'll most likely just stay home all day.

We're still getting snow, but just south of us about 25 miles is getting freezing rain. This freezing rain stuff sucks!!

Here is my 1970 BMW 2002 I call her "the bimmer-schnitzel"

Hard to see for sure but Im thinking a 72?

Close, '71. :D

Do you know the only difference between '71 and '72? It's not much, but there is a difference.

Let me tell ya, this thing is doing AWESOME in the snow that we got out here. :D

Got this little one today:

I've been thinking about getting one of these rescue knives for some time now, and when I saw this thing I just HAD to have it. It's super small and lightweight, awesome pocket clip, great framelock, and scary sharp. Those serrations will tear through any rope or webbing material.

Size comparison with a mini bic:
