GUYON or BLADITE:

One of you posted a picture a while back (in the chat thread?) of a mint case that fit very well in the new Shorts sheaths..... I have looked but cannot find that post.

Can you re-post the picture again? Also, can you tell me where you found these mints? I've been looking every time I go through a convenience store or walk by the impulse rack, but no luck so far.

they're altoids chewing gum (minis). don't know if they are for sale anymore or not.

i imagine i could be bribed for a Guyot bottle ;) okay, probably not

since today is Steak and BJ day, i'm going to use my Tweener to cut up a steak, maybe take a picture. unlikely to get the follow-through since Moose or Flexxx aren't local, but a MOD does what a MOD does :>

Haha, yes I did search all posts made by you in the Becker sub-forum for "", but gave up due to your post-whoring :D

Ok, so actually I skipped over that post because I was looking in the chat thread.... That's actually not the picture I was thinking of. That container would certainly work and I appreciate the quick reply though.

The one I'm thinking of had a mint container (not altoids) that opened from the top, not like the usual altoids tin. Your tin looks like it might be easier to get contents in and out though.

Hmm.... maybe Guyon it was the one who posted it... go go gadget forum search!

Becker was on my tv! Not the crappy Dr. show either. Actually had a lot of Becker content on the tube.

Today I tried my first bow drill/hand drill fire. Failed miserably.
So I made a feather stick out of the spindle.

Next time I will give it a shot with some different wood.

I have a handle to make(on an elmax spyderco mule) and was just looking at some burl. Man there is some beautiful stuff out there. I'm thinking spalted maple burl with black walnut bolsters and some color g10 liners. Anyone got any ideas, I think if this works I'll have to do a set on a becker as well :D

Maple burl looks great in my book, maybe nice color green liner? I don't usually gravitate towards the bolsters look but sometimes it can look really nice. Once you give it a go be sure to put some pictures up.

I'll keep an eye out for them for you. Can't say I've seen them lately though.

Same here, and I've been looking for them for a while.

I could have sworn I have seen those recently around here. I'll have to pay closer attention when heading to the store next time.

Thanks guys.

Update: Obviously the normal altoids tin is way too big, but the Altoids-smalls tin fits pretty darn good. I see these around quite a bit too.

I am thinking light colored wood, with a really dark bolster. Green would look nice, or maybe red.

Damn. March madness, and I'm not talking sports. Went a little over board with the hobbies. 3 custom knives in the works from different makers. 10/22 bull barreled and re stocked. New pistol and centerfire rifle coming in later this month. I gotta walk down Castro street and shake my money maker to pay for all this.

Dress appropriately, sounds like you need the money. So you got that shooter rebarreled yet?
