Very nice Resinrib!

I've got this one on....

 Nice. I really wanted the UV (purple) with the Ruthenium face, but it was sold out. The leather strap is too large for my wrist, need to look around for some ideas on another leather one. There is an unofficial Bathys Owners site, but no forum. I'll have to find out where most of the Bathys folks hang out, and post a question there.

I don't have this, but this is what I want!

I think STEELFISH goes well with STEELHEART!

Other models from Breitling has too many Chrono that i hate. I don't like watch with chrono cuz i never use them. I like my watch simple.
I actually wear Swiss Army Dive Master 500

Yeah I've been looking at the Seiko's, but I like orange, and like the idea of the original Orange Watch. Also The Rolex is a lot more expensive, but it is neat... but they dont seem as "young"... NO OFFENSE INTENDED...

Not young perhaps, but I got my Submariner (no date), used for Christmas of '85 and it has been on my wrist ever since.

My Dad's we got him for Christmas in '64 or '65 ($178 OTD) and he is still wearing it.

Like the Busse of watches.

I have my Omega Aqua Terra for everyday wear and I wear my SMP at work. Then I have a couple vintages that I wear every now and then. I'd love a Sea Dweller or Sub, but even used they're way overpriced. Now when I can afford a Planet Ocean...

Cheers,
BJB :D

Now those are NICE!!!

Some of my all time favorites from the days I was better known as "TheWatchCollector" ;)

And I agree 100% camp out at timezone, watchnet, and thepurists look for good deals.

Why am I not surprised that Busse/Watch collector has/had a few gems to share ? As to Rolex, I agree w/ BillyJoeBob. The story, IIRC, goes something like this.
Rolex and Omega were comparable in in sophistication and price until an obscure author decided to have his lead character, James Bond, agent 007, wear a Rolex. When JFK praised the book, the sales and price of Rolex watches took off and, to this day, a Rolex with no significant quality or technological superiority to a comparable Omega sells for quite a bit more. Pure brand name recognition. My Aqua Terra was relatively low end at $2500 full retail, and the comparable, if there was one, (Did/does Rolex have a co-axial escapement watch?) Rolex went for approx. $3500. That was a 40% premium for the privilege of strapping a "Genuine ROLEX" to ones wrist. To be fair, Rolex does retain a higher %age of its asking price at resale but if you don't sell, that doesn't mean much.
Comparatively recently, Omega persuaded the Bond film franchise folk to have James wear an Omega, I assume to boost their brand name recognition. Don't pay enough attention to tell you which Bond started wearing Omegas, but I'm fairly sure that Sean Connery's Bond wore a Rolex and Daniel Craig as the latest iteration, wears an Omega. Gotta go. Story time's over. Pete

I have had a Fossil Titanium Blue automatic for almost a decade, and just upgraded in the last couple of weeks to a Sinn U-1.

I quickly stored the steel bracelet that it came on and replaced it with a black Nato strap. I will probably swap that for something more appropriate when it comes along, but I just haven't seen it yet.

Young? "Young" is a cell phone. Pretty much nobody under 40 these days carries a watch anymore as a functional bit. But I think they're to be appreciated for their craftsmanship and beauty. Like man jewelry.

I am looking for a Busse Time Stopper with orange g-10 wrist band :D Welcome and good luck on your search  ;)

I am officially rescinding my "rolex not being young" Though in my defense, I am only 25. By not young I meant "timeless."

After all this I still fancy that Doxa, but I may go with an Omega first, I have liked the Sinns for a very long time. On another forum, I dont remember which, I saw a Sinn EZM2 GSG-9. I'm sure its a bit of a marketing deal, but it came in a cool case with GSG9 themed stuff.

Thanks for the continueing help guys!

Sirahren,

Not sure how serious you are on the Doxa but having bought a Sub 250 a couple years ago I get emails from Doxa regularly.
They are currently offering the Sub 5000T to returning customers for $1890.

datejust.jpg I have one of these (the men's version) that belonged to my grandfather, but I never wear it. Too bling bling for my taste.

And now for something completely different... I've got one of these on the way:
