Off Topic...moving into our new "survival" home!

Looks like a dream home Rock. Enjoy! On a side note, I am going to Fort Gordon for 4 months at the begining of February. Never been there before and looking forward to it. Looks like a beautiful area. I'll make sure to bring my outdoor toys!

I am seriously thinking about retiring to the Fort Gordon area, I really like Augusta and the surrounding area.

Nice place Rock, enjoy, perhaps in a year or so we will be neighbors. Chris

Nice Place. I live about 1.5 hours from you. Use to go to Augusta alot dated a girl at the medical college. Liked the town alot. Bring yourself and the kid down this way and I can set you guys up on a hunt of some sorts.

Hey I may take you up on that. Last time I was here all my deer hunting was done up at Fishing Creek WMA...it's close to an hour away now. I need to get my son out on a hunt...plenty of shooting, just no hunting.

I am from Lexington, 45 minutes up 78 from Thomson. Killed lots of squirrels at fishing creek, good deer hunting on the fort itself. Chris

We'll have to do a link up...yeah I want to take my son out to Fishing Creek for squirrel hunting. Last time I was there (deer hunting), there were so many squirrel it drove me crazy!

Fort Gordon does have some decent hunting...it's limited to shotgun, blackpowder (I think) and bow. It also has a great shooting range that I used to volunteer at.

I just got back to NC sunday, spent a week in GA at my parents, wish I would have known, we would have definitely went after some limb bacon. Afraid I am out of the mix for the next year, 2nd ID here I come, I love the smell of Kimchi in the morning.

I will still be active on line, when I get back we'll have to catch some fish. BTW you don't need to learn to worm fish, top water works great and is a lot more fun. :D Chris
