Hit a local trail today for a hike.

This was my snack. As soon as I saw it, I said, "I am so down with this."
Turns out it's bogus. I did not see a single Sasquatch the entire hike. Freakin' false advertising.
The murse did great though.

I talked to the ranger before my hike. My goal for next year is to get into shape enough that I can do the 26-mile, one-day mega-hike at this park.
 
My hiking goal for next year is to be able to complete the Klotzmarsch (a very German word :D) which is basically 100 km (62 miles) in (brace yourself) 24 hrs. It's a scout thing.

I carried a Case slipjoint and a squirt ps4 today, at the same time. I am officially a two-knife person. Ugh.
 
Went by Smoky Mountain Knife works today on lunch. Bought one of the Remington Premier Tactical sheaths. They have been marked down from $40 to $15. Damn thing is solid as a tank, and pretty damn well made. I'm gonna go back and get a few more for that price. Fits the BK2 snug, and the BK10 perfect.

Got a couple new toys to kick around. The bow is a buddy's from work. He's letting me borrow it to get a feel for bow so maybe one day I can take a deer with the arrow. Since our rifle season sucks this is pretty much the only option I like. The Condor is my Dad's. I'm supposed to put ann edge on it, but he fully expects me to beat it through the brush before I do. I doubt I'll take a deer with the Kuk.

A guy here at work is making me a long bow, so, since I haven't shot in well over two decades, this should be interesting to watch. :D

He's using Oak, with a Hickory laminate on the front. We checked the pull, it tops out at 55lbs on my draw length, damn thing is STOUT. Should be getting it before Christmas.

I'm gonna hunt beer cans in the backyard with it. :D
