Seltzer is a good way to get the fizz without the sugar. On occasion I treat myself to a Coke, or a Izzy Pink Grapefruit soda..lol those are normally my go toos, either those or a root beer.
 
Yeah, juice plus seltzer is basically an Izzy at 1/10th the cost, but if stuck for some reason I'd drink an Izzy as they're not overdone.
 
Due to the extreme temeratures at work, I drink lots and lots of water.
I feel like crap if I drink soda and then sweat it out.
But even when I'm not at work I can tell that my body feels better without soda in my diet.
I've really been liking the V-8 Fusion drinks lately. The Spicy Hot V-8 is still the best though.

Ugh, haven't worked out in a couple weeks and my youngest wants me to go to her MMA class with her tomorrow. I'm going to be a hurtin' puppy!

But also taking my oldest to start investigating archery, so that'll be boss. She's not wired for team sports but has amazing focus, so I think archery is something she could really succeed at.
 
Stopped by my mom and dad's house to pick up some things my mother needs and found this in the closet. I had forgotten all about it. A hiking staff I made for my dad about twenty years ago.

It was a really unique sapling that had been shaped by a vine and had a burl.

I inlaid a button compass because his sense of direction sucked :D but he still loved to hike the woods.

Pretty cool because it brought back some good memories!
 
Good stuff trade. I still remember hiking with my dad in the woods, and he'd always stop and cut us a hiking stick.

Damned if I haven't gotten the itch to buy a bow. Was looking at them just a while ago, in fact.
 
Trade, that hiking stick is awesome. My brother made me stick similar to that, but without the burl and compass. I carry that thing on all hikes now.
 
too bad you got the pic before he opened up that Seagram's fuzzy navel cooler...
