Don't get me wrong. Lay's potato chips (traditional) are the bomb, and there are certain things I have to have them with.
Egg salad sandwiches, for example. I can't eat an egg salad sandwich without Lay's potato chips.

I like chips on almost any samitch, gives it a nice texture as well as flavor. But alas, I had no samitch. Just some weird tater chips.

Me too. But I would have had to make it, transport it to work, and then reheat it on the exhaust manifold of the truck or something. Also I would have to think to myself that I'm going to want cheesy garlic bread later and buy all the stuff to make it. It really becomes a whole ordeal as opposed to seeing weird chips at a store and letting curiosity get the better of you.

I'll admit I did try some buffalo chicken chips a while back. They didn't really taste like chicken though...

I was hiking a section of the PCT very close to this one about a month ago. Conditions change fast. I over packed that trip as I always. I had my 9 and used it to make a fire by chopping up a downed tree. Good thread. I remember hearing about these hikers a few days ago. In the same news story they interviewed a woman who hiked the entire trail in 2008 and she ran into snow in the sierra nevadas in cali and said it was virtually impossible to pass and these hikers were very unwise to continue so late in the season.

I had some roast beef flavored potato chips once. I thought they were pretty good. But I had already consumed a fifth of scotch and a few beers with schnapps chasers.
 
We have Lobster flavored chips up here. I am not a fan.

Save them for the tourists.

I have. They are ok, I feel like they have more heat than sriracha flavor. I LOVE sriracha sauce, eat it every day. I have been using the Sriracha chips to eat Salsa. The flavor of the salsa and the kick of the chip are good together.
 
my buddy has one of my early 100% hunting knives. He put some hex bolts with shiny lock washers on the sheath. I like. Makes me happy to see my knives out and about.
