KCKA/ABS annual bladesmithing symposium today was good.
oktoberfest w/local brewery supplying 22oz draws for $5 was good, too.
winning a bag of coal in the end of day raffle = cherry on top.

We're down to the low grade stuff in the beer fridge at the shop. Some German stuff called "Schwill", otherwise known as Busch light.
I'm trying to figure out why that is even in your fridge. It doesn't even qualify as beer. On another note, I used some Red Hook Out of Your Gourd Pumpkin Porter (made with maple syrup) in some onions that I put in spaghetti sauce, but would've also been good in anything - that beer just cooks down to an awesome (IMAO) flavor. Plus I got to make my kids have beer for dinner. I didn't tell them til after they finished chowing down that they just had beer in their dinner - you should've seen the look on my 12 year old's face...

So I made this mistake today...

Mixed message is mixed.

Geeze fellas, it's like you don't know what "middle ground" means. :p They're not disgusting but they don't taste particularly good. Think mcdonalds hamburger vs your favorite burger joint or doughnuts that are a day or two old. Not something you want, but if it's all there is you'll eat it. For $1.50 for that bag try them to satisfy your curiosity, they won't make you gag or anything. I think I prefer the chicken-and-waffles flavor over these and I wasn't crazy about those either.

Egad. You guys know there IS real food in the world, right?
The robot apocalypse actually has not arrived yet.

Ugh the chicken and waffles chips just tasted like that stuff that goes in a paperbag then is set on fire on the doorstep. Stay away!

No mixed message at all... He saying they are addictive, but incredibly fattening... If he had had a case, they'd all be gone

Edit ... Oops.. Apparently I don't speak bighoss.... And I respond before I read farther... I need a beer

They're not nasty, but I sure won't be buying them again. I did finish the bag though.

Potato chips are like pizza and sex... even when they're not very good, they're still pretty good.

There are of course exceptions to that, like "ketchup" flavored chips. :barf:

I thought that's what Santa gave the bad kids for Christmas. :D

That's what I thought, too. When I was a kid Mom always put a chunk of coal in my stocking. If I had saved them all, they would be useful now.

Why did I think the waffles at IHOP would be better than they are? I'm just full of bad food decisions today. Maybe I'll just go outside and eat bugs the rest of the day.

A bet a bag of those would last until the robot apocalypse without spoiling. :p
Don't get me wrong. Lay's potato chips (traditional) are the bomb, and there are certain things I have to have them with.
Egg salad sandwiches, for example. I can't eat an egg salad sandwich without Lay's potato chips.
