So i been looking at the pelican coolers the last hour or so, and at first I was like Heck no thats expensive as crap! But it says they retain ice from 7-10 days. Now that changed my expression from heck no to WOW! I hate having to leave and drive to get more ice! even worse having to cut the trip short because the ice is gone and we dont want the fish going bad.

I just wish they showed a comparison so i could tell how big they are. I dont know how big 35 qt and 45 qt are.

Really nice coolers though. I also saw some Yeti's. Wonder how they compare. More reading needed.

The coolers are impressive WW. We were blown away at how well they kept things cold at the gathering - especially after we had ours strapped to the roof of the FJ for two full days while we were driving down to the gathering.

Seven days of ice retention requires following some specific procedures like pre-cooling cooler and keeping it out of the sun (hard to do when it's strapped to the roof of the FJ), but none the less we were impressed.

What size was at the gathering? And did anyone get a pic of it?

Thanks for the info man. I just watched a video where he explains the pre-cooling and stuff. But he never says the size he has with him.

I think we got the smallest size.

35QT Elite Cooler Specifications
Exterior Dimensions (L x W x D) 26.41" x 20.00" x 18.75" (67.1 x 50.8 x 47.6 cm)
Interior Dimensions (L x W x D) 15.75" x 12.00" x 11.50" (40 x 30.5 x 29.2 cm)

I'm pretty sure it was bigger than that - 12"x16" interior would be barely enough room for a case of beer and I'm pretty sure you fit more than that in there. (that's also roughly the size of the laptop I'm typing this reply on...)

Hmm, you might be right vik. I'll measure that rig tomorrow. If it was not the 35 , it must have been the 45. I don't think we get anything bigger.

Now is a decent time to use the 4 letters, that was funny. I never sleep so im never good. Got it. HAHA :D

Im not big on candy but these are great.... I prefer white chocolate over dark

Did you know there is over 200 kinds of kit kat? mostly in asia, I have tried a few, but there are some crazy flavors like soy sauce, wasabi, green tea, ginger ale and loads more, literally over 200 flavors of kit kats... cant call them fake either, technically the ones here would be more of a knock off because here nestle doesnt sell them, hershey does, but nestle should....

LMAO, my wife is a big chocolate and candy person, she has tried quite a few, and some were very gross she said LMAO but she liked quite a few as well like choco banana and kiwi fruit ones

My wife just brought me a bunch of candy back from her trip to Canada. There were a couple kinds of kit kat I have never seen before.

Hmm, may trade in my Guyots for a few Hydro Flasks. Pretty impressive reading about them.
