Changed my vote to 10 based on the price, to good to pass up and i'll have some extras to give out.

Unfortunately no, but almost, i just need 2 more started threads (iirc) and to send in my application eith a few pictures. If its a problem i can change it back to 3. Not trying to step on any toes.
 
Vote and Google Sheet have me at 5. That is correct.
If there are extra, I'll take at least two more.

Well, not my call, but I feel it should be Beckerheads only. Becoming a Beckerhead is a rite of passage, in my eyes. I had to earn that status. It actually means something to me. I have over 18,400 posts on Bladeforums, 16,109 posts, and 133 threads on the Becker subforum alone. Not that everyone should spend that much time here, haha, but I contribute a lot of my time here, because I love these knives, and of course, the sense of community here.

You were purchasing 3, yet you're not a Beckerhead. Then you upped it to 10, to, "have some extras to give out". To who, more non Beckerheads? You've been a member here for over a year, which is plenty of time to become a Beckerhead. Why do non Beckerheads want Beckerhead patches? Perhaps I'm being a bit on the persnickety side, but, it's how I feel about it. It's like the person that signs up to a forum, just to enter a contest, or, has 3 or 4 posts after 2 years of being a member, then all of a sudden shows up to enter.

That said, it's ultimately up to knifejunkie, he's the one doing this. I'm fine with whatever he decides, just my 2 cents worth is all.

I don't have the pedigree that Warrior has. But it is truly something that I strive for. I especially admire Warrior for his commentment to the Beckerheads. I have learned alot from all the Mossyback Beckerheads as I call them. I've just recently earned my BH# but earned it I did and I am Damn proud of it. Well said Warrior well said.

Dont really care about contests and stuff, just love the knives. Why would i wait this long if i was just in it for that? And to whom i would be giving them to is my wife who i am trying to get into beckers. And maybe one day she would like to become a beckerhead or someone who missed out here. I know some people have not been on BF as much recently due to the system change. I read more than i post, that is true. I didnt hink it was a race and figured it would happen naturally. If it is such a big deal i dont need any i guess. I thought being a beckerhead was about the love of these amazing cutting tools and not a competition.

Meshach when you get your number and I know you will. I will personally send you a BH patch. Im a man of my word and you can hold me to it. If you don't know how just ask. But just remember we like Lots of pictures. Did I say we like lots of pictures! !!! And bacon lots of bacon. And pictures of bacon.

Saw these posts before i even voted so i figured it would be ok. Not sure why i am being treated like im being trying to pull one over or not respecting the beckerhead process?

That's part of being a Beckerhead, true. But there's also a process in place to become one. Part of that process is in place to assure that people want to be a Beckerhead, and not just in passing. I want you to be a Beckerhead, believe me.

I'm not your enemy, like I said, just my 2 cents. I'm not singling you out, and, I haven't read every post on this thread.
 
Haha I leave you guys alone for just one day. Unless a mod wants to make a ruling, I will do so later today.

And today will be the final day. After today no more will be added to the list. No number adjustments.

That price is fantastic, I changed my vote to 10+ but I'd just like 10 please, if I'm still in time.

Not sure what the issue is for Beckerheads-in-progress not being able to buy some patches, for all we know this could be the only patch group buy for years and to miss out on it if you're not quite there would bug me a lot.
 
A Beckerhead in progress to me is someone getting out and using their blades, making threads about them, making it known they want to be a head, etc. Not just showing up when it's patch time. I'm not saying everyone. I obviously don't know everyone's intention. But when someone shows up with 3 posts especially, and wants 10 patches, well, you can probably buy them later on ePrey.

I'll let this one go. Getting your Beckerhead status used to be a big deal. They may as well take away all the criteria, and just let anyone be one. I remember "back in the day", Moose would talk on being serious about people getting their numbers. Quality threads, hanging out here, etc., and not just wanting to be a BH just to enter a contest, get stuff, etc.

My bad, I was seeing Meshach's posts and he's over halfway to being a Beckerhead, BladeFirst only has 3 posts total and it doesn't make any sense to sell these exclusive patches to someone with no credentials whatsoever.

The more I think about it the more I am starting to agree with your sentiment, though, halfway towards being a Beckerhead is still not a Beckerhead. Considering giveaways and contests are only for those with a number, regardless of how close one is to getting one, if you treat this patch buy as a Beckerhead-only activity then it would make sense to only make it available to numbered Beckerheads, else you diminish the patch's value to the other Beckerhead members.
