Wow, that is a great looking knife. The second pic shows up more detail on the blade. Very nice. What is the steel we asked for D2?

I need to hang around my mailbox......

That looks very nice! I like the large spear blade. Does anyone have a pic of it with all the blades closed?

The info sheet inside the box confirms that the blades are D2 steel.

Mine was shaving sharp right out of the box unlike my Queen D2 knives with "butter knife" factory edge. ;)

My 2007 Bladeforums folder arrived today. Very nice knife, but I will say, I was a bit disappointed. As the attached photos show, one of the bolsters (left side of the main blade) is heavily scratched. It looks as if the person finishing the knife got too close to the bolster with a grinder or coarse buffer. As you can see it detracts considerably. According to the enclosed warranty, Canal Street should repair the knife. I'll let you all know what they say tomorrow. To be continued....

As a follow up on my pervious post. I spoke with Jean at Canal Street. I have to send the knife back to the shop for them to "work on it".
I still can't believe they allowed this knife out of the shop without finishing it. I will say this, if it came finished clean, it would be a nice knife. Although I could live without the bolster etch.
