Official Buck Picture Thread

Haven't seen any food shots for a while - lol

I've been carrying my 270 lately and really like this knife... slices through sirloin, like butter ;)

Here's dinner tonight... some Black Angus Sirloin cooked over a hardwood bbq, rice with home made tomato sauce and asparagus. And, some Italian red. :D

Happy New Year all!

I'll add my custom Buck 110 with nickel bolsters and stag scales, BG42 blade, what more could you ask for, oh, it was a prize won on the Buck forum, how cool is that!
Thanks again to the folks that help make that possible, Joe Houser and Evil Earl Ed.

Very nice knife, solid lockup and excellent edge grind on this one!

A few more pics of my buffalo-horn 110.
I tried to get some good close-ups of the scales themselves....

The green stuff is buffing compound. It should come off if you want it off. Try a little turpentine and a tooth brush. Brush parallel with the grooves containing the compound and wipe dry.

thats what I thought, I have no problem getting the buffing compound out of my jigged bone or horn on a finished knife with just hot soapy water and a toothbrush

Recently acquired a custom shop balck micarta, brass bolster, polished blade 110. This is a sleek 110. Wonder why Buck does not still offer this?

I really like that mirror polished blade.

I would leave it. Just my opinion but I think it adds an antique type look. If it is that easy to remove then it will probably come off with use anyway.

I would probably contact Buck and ask about it. Maybe they leave it in for asthetics.
