well way back in the 1900's i had about 25 users with a few being nice
then i got hold of a cut out..
that was my first herd queen
that was about 2000 some thing
how much? humm ...tricky question...

i quit smoking back in '99
and went to spending my "cigarette money" on buck knives
so you could say my knives are what cigg's sence then are worth
most kool is it not !

after i was asked point blank which one cost the most
i took clear uv ink and put dots in places to id them..
i can only display 112 of them in 4 cases
i am bulding 4 more cases to be able to display them all in atlanta
i have about 50 more ( i think) not shown
any more questions?

naw i is a newbie "want2be" collector...
i have the same goal as Paul Lentz did years ago..
in that i would like to try to find a sample of every issue i can..
IF the Price is Right::
recall i is a bottom feeding collector
not a got to have it at any price..
well ... could be i am wanting some reallly reallly bad
and willing to pay fair price now..but dont tell any one..
gots a rep to maintain.. and no not the hot head one:o !

to have each year mark ..
that is right serious and too hard core for me..

most of my herd ...not all
***click the pict***

Very impressive herd Dave! That is what I'm working toward, but occassionally I have to feed my kids and buy them stuff:). When I have the "extra" money it is really tough to decide on, should I buy a good example of an older 110 or one of the new variations. I tend to lean toward the older variations, but then I risk having to pay a premium to get a new variation after they are all out of stock (example: the BG42 G10). My wife probably wouldn't be too thrilled with any new ones right now. Kid number 4 is coming soon (Delivery expected July 1). I hope to see that spread in Atlanta!

hee hee got my kids in and out long ago hers and mine are both over 35!
ONLY 3 grand kids to buy for some times,,,
no empty nest feelings here! grand kids are great you spoil and dont have to face the music... you jest send them home!
there are many ways to go with these..
non gold issues with handle and blade material primary
some i know go for quality early issues to have years retail store display
i was not going to do this but many looking at my displays asked what the early ones looked like
they wanted to see a knife like dad gave them so many years ago..
so i will make a seperate case with some of the basics of the issues only..

you note i include the 560's and the 111 classics and the new 111..
these can each be a collection of their own!
if i was jest starting ... i would do only the 111 or only the 560..
these are not as daunting when you think of trying to get one of each!
and yes these and others will be in Atlanta
could have over 200 will have to see
glad you will be able to be there!!!
BTW any one counted them?
i started putting them away before i thought of it..

the rose wood is a ATS-34 BOS treated and the other is an Alaskan guide with custom Moose scales with S30V BOS treated. both of these knives are new additions to my collection.
