True, but if by “bear” you mean to shoulder the weight of constant whining (often by those who don’t bother to read the last half-dozen replied Dan has made to the same gripes) and personal frustration (I’m sure Dan isn’t pleased with his CNC folks either), and such….well, I assure you that Dan feels the full brunt of these burdens.

Please realize that Dan isn’t a full-time knifemaker and he gives us the best information he has at the time. If you don’t believe that he sincerely believed that these would be ready sooner, than there is little point in arguing this. Whining/complaining isn’t going to speed anything up. If you don’t want to wait any longer, please just sell “your spot” to someone who will.
 
I don't see "constant whining" in these 22 pages. And yes, I have read every page.

These knives are now eight months late for the predicted delivery date.

I appreciate that Dan Koster has met unforseen problems, but eight months late?
 
I spoke with the CNC company last week. Today is the day they are working on them. Short of driving up there in person, I cannot guarantee a firm date, guys.

I am very put off having waited this long as well...

Thanks for the update Dan. I do have ..some.. other knives to keep me cutting until the Bushmaster arrives :)!

It's all mind over matter; if you don't mind, it don't matter. I don't mind waiting; I'll just appreciate it all the more.

It's all good. Progress is being made. Sun still rises in the East. Water is still wet. A good knife is still a good knife. Thanks for the update Dan.

Looks like everything is done except tapering the tangs on the 3V knives.

Dan,

I sent you a letter with a photocopy of my payment of $235 (dated 7/18/2009) and a check for $10 (dated 07/03/2009) for S&H after I found out that the original check for the S&H had never been cashed. This one was cashed. Please advise if you need another copy of either or both.

Thanks, guys. I too am VERY excited to finally see these.

The tapered tang versions are going to be delayed, but the others are ready to ship to me. I'll probably get them middle of next week.

Are these ground down to a zero edge?
Or is there going to be a secondary bevel?
Hard to tell in the pictures.
