Official Pen Knife Review Thread

Gosh, Bob, I agree it's a pretty exciting Bowie project, but...

Y'all ought not to pick on Bob like that, there's something about a big old primitive looking knife like that one that stirs something deep within the psyche of an outdoorsman. Actually the one pictured is not a true bowie, it's a reproduction of an 18th century rifleman's knife. Back then the fight started with a shot from your single shot muzzleloader, and more often than not ended with knife and tomahawk.

Yikes, but none of any of this has anything to do with the Pen Knife review. Sorry Dan, didn't mean to get so far off the path.

Don't forget beer Uncle, especially now that the big news is two drinks a day is good for your heart. They ought to specify how big those two drinks should be though, I've got this drinking horn that'll hold about 3/4 of a pitcher.:eek: :D

You mean there are going to be girls at the Convention? Then, I'm deffinantly going to be there.:p:D:D

Seriously though, I was over helping a lady friend get her new Laptop to connect to the Colleges internet and told her about the Convention. Her and her friends were asking if they could come.:D
 
Hey this is (was?) the Pen Knife thread, so I was wondering, where is that little chopper, and what's it look like after Keith's added touches?:confused:

Update: I've done the etching to the blade, looks good, but I'm going to go back and blue the etched areas to really up the contrast between the heavily polished areas and the etched areas. Should be finished this weekend, and I have by bro and his digital cam coming over on Sunday for pix.

I'm looking forward to the pics Keith. My Pen Knife was "etched" by the monsoon in Nepal. The blade is now clean and shiny, but the shallow pitting remains. I like it, it's part of my little khuk's character.

It wouldn't be a real HI thread if it didn't ramble about here and there. Anyone mention bears lately?

I was only trying to think of a helpful way to put all of the actual Pen Knife reviews on one thread. However, I read my post again and it sounds like I was terse and perturbed. I wasn't even remotely thinking that way, but it does sound like it up there, doesn't it? :o :footinmou :o
