Official price raise Sept. 13

I noticed that last night while looking around for an inkosi. All the 375 stuff was up around 405+

What really bugs me is current orders that they have been late to deliver on for up to 2 years now will also reflect the new price increase.

Not like they're the only guys that do this you see that's a lot in luxury goods. But at this point in time it seems like that's where CRK wants to push their product line a luxury knife rather than an everyday knife.

I just got a notice from a dealer that they have until Sunday to change the prices on their website.
I just happened to make a purchase last night. What a bargin:)
The raise was pretty predictable.

In the recent video with Tim that was posted elsewhere, he carefully discussed the idea of a price increase; I agree with the sentiments in this thread that the pricing is understandable and justified.

Surprised it took this long. I am a little bothered that a order I placed over 2 years ago will have a price increase. When I placed the order I believe the lead time was 18 months. Oh well, I honestly would have expected a price increase sooner and more of an increase than this. Given what current lead times are they could raise prices again before any recent orders are filled.

And I literally ordered one from a dealer Friday and came in yesterday!!

I seem to remember Tim mentioning in a previous video they expected an increase on inlayed models and not the plain janes, but that turned out to be incorrect. Glad I decided to purchase a couple CRKs earlier this summer.

It was completely expected and I understand why they are doing it. That being said I ordered a Magnacut 31 on June 21st and am now having second thoughts. I may cancel the order and just grab one from a dealer eventually if I change my mind.

glade I got my CRK's when I did! Tim did say the prices would be going up, sort of sad news though

I'm not commenting on the strategy or the value of the price increases, just trying to understand them. It looks like the price increase of the small and the large PJ Sebenzans amounts to $50. However, the large sebenza 31 drop point with box elder burl scales is now $750, which is $200 up from the $550 I paid for mine. Granted, this is presumably in Magnacut, whereas mine is in S45vn, but I'm not sure how much the blade material figures into the cost. For the plain Sebenza, this represents an 11% increase. For the wooden inlay versions, this is 36%. I'm not good at math. Someone double check me, please. It appears that the more luxurious, the more exorbitant.

The inlayed and damascus models have been quite high lately. I’ve seen some large Sebenzas well into the $800 range for one of the three current inlays with one of the flavors of Damascus. But yes, they are quite high. I’m content with one dress model for special occasions and the plain Jane models for my day to day needs.
