Official price raise Sept. 13

For sure. At least you can specify what you want, wait it out, and eventually you'll get it (extreme circumstances aside). With Hinderer and GEC, batches of variations come at the drop of a hat so if there's something specific you want, good luck.
Very true.
CRK in my experience has the finest customer service I’ve ever seen in any company… They truly build amazing knifes, worth the wait.

I used to stress about Randall being a 5 year wait, but truth is with dealers and on line platforms, there isn't much in CRK you can't get RIGHT NOW!

I’m glad I bought most of my collection when I did. I make OK money, but am by no means rich, and would have never been able to justify to myself my CRK collection at today’s prices. Maybe a couple knives at most. I’m not really complaining, as it’s what it is, and I understand the factors. Im just glad I caught the CRK bug back 10 years ago. Now I have an embarrassment of riches with all these Sebenzas!!!
Same boat as you kid. I started about nine years ago and went straight to the deep end. Started on PJ's, moved up to inlays, then damascus and finally both. Next, I started in on doubles... one to carry and one to cherish. Finally, I found my love for smalls so now even more! (Years later I say this quietly and won't repeat. I found "a guy" from "some place" that gave me a very nice discount for buying five inlaid damascus at once!) My wife also has several. While that is a lot of money in CRK, it's about 45% more expensive nowadays with the increase compared to my added old receipts. Sure makes it harder to dive in like many early adopters we able to do.

There is a shortage and I don't need to collect more anyways. I'll leave the rest to the newcomers. Sorry guys... Buy what you can though. In 10 years newbs will beg for the current prices. They will only continue the March onwards upwards.

I'm right with you. I found CRK in late 2018, so just in the nick of time to try all different kinds and get the ones I wanted. I tend to work my knives comparatively hard to most so it's not uncommon for me to buy doubles or even triples of ones I really like for spares. Of course this was back when there was still a continuously supplied bottomless pit of 21s sitting on shelves at every dealer. I absolutely refuse to chase drops or pay current secondary market prices for a production model so if I didn't get in when I did I probably wouldn't be a CRK guy at all now.

I was lucky... I got into CRK's in the late 90's when Regulars were the knife...Then had to have one of every model (larges) over the years... Classics, 21,25, 31, Inkosi, etc. Ti lock, Impinda,etc.... Use all the models in rotation, and curiously have never bought a new one from a dealer or CRK. Prices were better back then, but inflation today makes that $1 now, $1.82 back then, so roughly double back then in buying power. I guess my point is there is never a better time than NOW to get one... doesn't seem like they are going down very fast!

Well said!

I too, have more than I need! My first purchase was around 1999 and even then there was a wait time to get what you wanted. I have all ready gifted many to my children and come to realize the durability of a Sebenza, one will last you a lifetime.
