Tearing down boxes this morning with the SK-4 and decided to snap yet another pic. A tiny bit of rust at the tip but otherwise no changes from the acidic water dip. And still no maintenance outside of taking it to the strop to touch up the edge since then.

I love the updates. I can't believe how dark that patina is. Looks great!

Not the best picture ever, but a family photo of the green canvas gang with it's newest member the 5.0!!:

Hooray for family colors! I'm glad I'm not the only one with a fully matching family (that is still coming). Very cool. Great line up of blades there!

And yeah I agree the 5 is a beast, but in a useable, balanced way. I have a knife that is almost the same in length, but it is a quarter inch thick and I just can't love using it. The 5 is the ideal dimensions for me!

It was a lucky pickup (almost got the other one that popped up) and I immediately ordered some green canvas for them. This 5.0 is a beast, it's hard to tell in pictures. I thought the box had two knives in it!

They're definitely the Bulldogs of the GSO line!

Damn I just saw one with a navy blue kydex sell for $65 on fleabay last Saturday. I'll keep an eye out.
That full size HK-45 is a frickin beast!

Not that you can't find one on your own, but the FB fan group sometimes has sales come up and there's no restriction on deal spotting there. Not sure if you're a facebooking type, though.

Had some ribs and put the SK-4 to work:

Then forgot to clean the blade after dinner and it sat all night with sauce on it. What a mess this morning as I had to soak it just to get the sauce off...

But it left a bit more "character" on the blade:
