Thanks man! I found this FB post right after I got it.
That is a really cool photo of a piece of history!
Love it!! An old 5 and EDC 4. Very nice!!
Thanks guys. I got them both from Edgeworks online. I got the EDC-4 first and then the 5 came out so I had to have it. At the time, not many people knew about Survive! but I had been looking at Guy's knives for a long time. Even before he had these models. So there was no wait. Just put em' in my cart and checked out. Here is a better shot of my EDC-4. I compared the screw slot orientation and the camo pattern of the knife in the photo to mine and I believe they match. So I'm thinking, from Guy's FB post, this is the only one exactly like this, i.e. FDE cerakote and camo scales.
Here are my edc-4's top one is 3v bottom one in[/IMG] elmax. Really like the handle contour on these, very comfortable.
I'm diggin' these bro.
Edgeworks is a great little shop. Its about 20 minutes from my house
New to me trade. All dressed up now.
Man that's a nice looking EDC!
I regret selling mine off!
Looking good RR!
Is that one of Sagewood's firesteels?
Finally had a bit of time and daylight today to get most of the knives out.
I also put the Condor pouch on the 7/7.
Awesome, Standard! Great collection of high quality tools!
I always love the view from a stump top.
That big hunk of Ash was supposed to be used for a chopping block instead of a backdrop, but we all know how life goes.
Don't lose hope. That looks like a multipurpose stump to me. Great for pics of all kinds AND destruction of wood.
I'm really liking that selection you have. I didn't realize you had a candiru. I liked mine, but used it as part of a trade for my necker II. Between those made sized knives, the axe and the Condor, you look ready for anything
Nice photos and collection SD78! I love the GF ax and the kits!! Might be a good one to post in the Gear threat.
That Condor just looks rugged!!
I wonder if the those FKs would accept torx fasteners...........hmmmm.
There are a few redundant knives there, but they all have a different use. The Candiru is a nice small knife, but I really want to remove the coating on the bevel and change the cutting angle.
That Condor is a decent splitter for the price. The edge definitely needs some work though.
I just received the GB SFA on Tuesday and I'm already loving it!
Hopefully I can get out soon and try this combo out.
The Condor is a great one for sure!
It's a bit rough, but the price is super low.
That's a good question on the FK fasteners!
I might have to screw around with them later.
Standard, I didn't realize you just got the axe. Great time for a family pic! Looks like an awesome 3 piece set. I would really like to test my abilities with a saw (Silky bigboy), a large knife and a medium knife. There's a good chance I'd really miss an axe, but I'd like to find out.
HK, you and those torx
I get it, they do look good!
Yep I've only chopped a few 1" branches with it so far. These Gransfors come shaving sharp so it took barely any energy on my part.
That would be a good combo to try out! I keep putting off buying a bigger Silky for some reason. The little pocket boy 170 I have is a tad bit short for my liking.
