The good news is.....I am all packed up and heading home and the first bunch of W&SS neckers hit the mail on Monday.
Thanks for understanding, guys!
Dan
nope. Have they been shipped? It should only take 2-3 days for priority mail to arrive at most places in the US, if shipped from Arkansas. I would have expected delivery yesterday if mine were shipped on Monday.
Is it too late to get on the list for a NCM one to match my Survivor? Or perhaps extras will be available at the end of the run if the sign-up phase is over?
I just got mine in the mail!
It's nice and small and fits well in the hand. It's not very sharp, but I can fix that up fine. I really like the ergos. It's what I was hoping: a small, sturdy useful knfe.
I only got the knife, though. I had ordered the extra belt sheath, also. Dan, are you shipping the belt sheaths seperately?
Thanks!
So your's did not come with any sheath?
I received both of mine today (one plain, one w/ green canvas micarta grips). I like the overall design/size of the knives. Grind lines are good, but not great. Neither came really sharp (which would be my biggest concern)- they would cut copy paper, but not newsprint, and neither would shave.
The sheaths are a simple fold-over design, that hold both knives securely, but they are easily removed the same. The sheaths are made from fairly thin (.060") kydex or concealex.
I noted a significant discoloration to the handle scales where they are covered by the kydex when sheathed - I can't tell if it's burned micarta, or stained by something else.
The micarta scales make for a comfortable hold, in a variety of grips. The grips themselves are generally symmetrical, but are not perfect by any means.
Both renditions are fairly lightweight & compact, and the skeleton version makes a very thin package.
All said, nice knives with a few rough points. If I had to choose one, I would keep the one w/ the micarta scales.
I just received my knife as well. Maybe it's just being the proud papa of a new blade, but I'm loving it. I did shave my arm with it. I've got a very visible bald spot that attests to how sharp mine came. I'm going to rub some mineral oil into the handle to bring out the details. Thanks Dan!
