Officially scammed: so much for 'buyer protection'

I have had about three bad deals in my ten years of internet buying/selling/trading on knife forums, photography forums and ebay. In all three instances I was able to get my money or goods returned when I (a) threatened to contact that person's local police department and (b) let them know I would also be filing a formal complain with the post office for mail fraud. All three times it worked. If he is still residing in the U.S. you may stand a chance at getting a refund. I've been able to get reimbursement from an overseas buyer though, so it's not out of the question.

I have had several dealings with Glen over the lasy year, all very positive. I can't help believe something very unusual is going on here. Perhaps an illness? I just don't get it. I have bought & sold several thousand dollars worth of knives with him totally on trust.

Very sorry you have this situation.

this is very bothering and nerve wrecking.

been there twice ! once i paid with a money order.....worst thing you can do.

then.....paypal - they refunded my payment after seller could not show proof

of shipping......AND IT WAS NOT AN EBAY AUCTION !

but if the seller closes his account.....thats bad.

i hope for - somehow - a good end ....................
