That Hornet is even smaller than I thought it would be. I'm liking these very much.

I really like that Magua. When I saw it on Todd's sub I wanted it immediately, however, I had a TW already in the works so I couldn't. Glad you got it BH.

In other news. I went through my new computer/table last night after a short visit here and turned off all the extra BS. I even turned off most of the trackpad functions. Essentially, I really dumbed it down and I am happier with it. As I learn things, I might add those other features back in. But I prefer to ease into high speed whiz bang shit

Very awesome Dubz. I'm super happy for you. I need a place like that to get out of the city

Thanks man, appreciate it. I'm wanting to go this weekend, but we can't. The wife has to work Saturday. I told her I was gonna go ahead and go, haha. No sense of humor that woman. Next time we go, I'm gonna clear some of the brush out along the other side of the cabin. Get all the stuff out that's touching it. I need to take my chainsaw as well, and get some dead stuff out, that I don't want falling on it. There's a dead tree that's sorta leaning towards the power lines that needs removed as well. No shortage of firewood, that's for sure.

This little brous Ranger is a slicey SOB ill tell ya what.

I started with some fruit.. A couple peaches and a plumb, I could skin the fruit without much difficulty at all... then i just started grabbing everything in reaching distance LMAO, but i started trying to slice the layer with ink off of paper... Anyone ever tried that?? Basically slicing a layer off the paper without cutting all the way through the paper....

It works on regular printer paper that has something printed on it, magazines or whatever..... It works better on magazine type paper it seems though.

You can see on the barcode of the river store receipt where i went too deep and cut through the paper, and you can see the area where i removed just a layer with ink on it.

On the orange printed spyderco flyer thingy it was easier and i can make curls with the top layer....

Anyone ever tried this??

Had a little storm roll through earlier.

Didn't last long and when it was gone, we were treated to an incredible sunset. Mother Nature is indeed an awesome gal. :D

I have a question. Is it possible to still buy a water mellon that still has seeds in it? Even the farmers market today only had seedless ones.

this is what I did with my new machine -- unpinned almost all the apps and unchecked the box that starts the thing in tile mode - or maybe I checked the box that tarts it up on the desktop.

on the upside - wild plums will be ripe in about 3 weeks and we have a bumper crop this year.
mulberries are almost gone, but we got about a quart of them yesterday (both white and purple on the property)
we have a plethora of elderberry -- picked 1 1/2 bushes and filled a pair of gallon sized zip-lock bags. will be going after more later in the week.

on the downside - apparently I mowed through some poison ivy recently. either that or there's some other plant out there that causes a lot of itching and bleeding when you scratch the tops off the blisters. :(

ESEE ropes course.

most IT geniuses I know are rather caustic.

I plan to purge Windows from our entire ship - at least everywhere I can. It's a horrible OS, confusing to navigate, makes complicated assumptions, AND these days basically doesn't work unless you have an internet connection. My instrumentation machines are SPECIFICALLY unable to connect to the internet for security reasons, but I can't register a copy of windows without putting them online. Microsoft == FAIL.

It's too bad Apple is going the same way. Try to set a MacOS timezone to UTC with the control panel. Go ahead, just try it.

That's why there's Linux, the founding father of the atmOSphere. My laptop dual boots; when my ~10 year old desktop bytes its last bit that's what it'll get, too. Free and works and even my kids can operate it.

Yes. Agreed. Apple is the devil.

Ever try to open up iTunes to listen to YOUR music without an internet connection? There is a reason why so many appleID's contain profanity.

Geez CBear, no apple products, no GPS, what'd you drive up in, a horse and buggy?!! Damn Luddites...snark!

Love me my apple stuff, plus we got my mom an iPad a while back, since our family is spread out across the country, so we could easily message each other and share photos of her grandbabies. Yes, Apple has kinda turned into the evil empire as of late, but it's intuitive to use and doesn't require a phD to turn on...

They're not evil, but I certainly won't participate (aside from a handful of iPod's managed with a third party app) in Apple's economy if I'm not allowed to drive my own vehicle outside the garden walls. Too much control of the user experience; I just find it distasteful and obtrusive. Apple is like a guide in a communist country.....but in a more benevolent way, I guess, which is why just as many people love and use their stuff as wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.

Those look very cool, hoss. Thank you for bringing some relevancy to the thread.

The deed came in the mail today. Yee haw.

Wow. You must be very happy, Dubz. That is really cool. Looking forward to the pics...when you re-enter civilization from time to time, of course.

She sure is. That is one gorgeous pic.

I ordered my ASAP today. Go figure one turned up in the exchange not long after placing my order with Mystery Ranch.

So, managed to not get pulled over on the way home. Was stuck in traffic for an hour outside of Indianapolis because of an accident. Was able to make up MOST of that time on the rest of the drive home. The accident was heinous!

That all being said, only one fatality, which is kind of amazing. Semi on Semi violence has got to end!

out before you end this one overnight.
(since posting IBTL is apparently verboten these days)
