Awesome Warrior! Now you can go all Thoreau in your own place. Big Hoss, glad they made it, looking forward to your thoughts.

Aikiguy, sorry to hear about your pops. Sounds like he's stable at least.

So far I'm impressed. But is it normal for them to smell like BO and taco farts? :D

You have to be careful when using ash. Water poured through hardwood ash makes lye. While using ash as a "soap" substitute might not be terribly strong, it could have a caustic effect. Rough on hands, deteriorate some metals, or make you sick if ingested. Probably wouldn't happen, just an FYI. We always just used clean mud, and black moss. Pine cone would work ok too.

Back to our regularly scheduled snark

Doc

Aye, moderation is key.

Congrats Warrior.

Have you ever taken a picture of the Hornet and Candiru side by side??
Sho nuff:

I think Walden Pond was what introduced me to micro cabins.

Thanks Warrior!!

Them some little ones!! The palm swell on the Hornet's handle does make it look quite comfy in the hands for its size.

Sweet picture too!!

It's pretty good for such a small knife. I can get two fingers around it in a traditional grip or you can bury the end of the handle in your palm and put your index finger on the forward jimping. The rounded end of the handle makes using like that very comfortable and if you could really bear down on it that way if you needed to.

Those knives look great Hoss; the hornet in particular looks smexy.

Congrats on finalizing the property Warrior!

Thanks Woody, Murph, and everyone else for the smoke and prayers. No word yet on his condition, but I figure no news is good news...

Damn, lost my stream light, I've looked everywhere and can't find it, that was my favorite light also

I know how that is. I used to have a surefire E1E, I loved that flashlight. Accidentally left it at a desk at work and of course it never got turned in. And then it got discontinued so I can't even replace it.

It sure does. I really like the colors in the handle on the Hornet. If I special order any knives from Todd I'll probably have them made to match the hornet.

I want me a Fenix PD35, the 2014 version... That or a Nitecore MH2C.

I love my Fenix E11... Its plenty bright for most things but sometimes when im out camping in the middle of nowhere or walking my dog in the early mornings a brighter light would come in handy.

just got a new tablet/computer. I hate it already. Mostly my problems are with Windows 8 mostly (Oh how I miss the start button!!) and not necessarily the computer. My wife talked me into getting a HP Envy, despite her history with HP. I had briefly forgotten how HP totally sucks, and got it anyway. Stupid me!!

Have you tried classic shell? I installed that first thing upon transitioning to Windows 8. If you miss the start button, it will mostly fix that issue for you. It's totally free, and, IMO, a necessary thing to install on any windows 8 computer.
