This is more for laughs than advice, so thought y'all would get a kick out of this.

My wife is actually in to knives and firearms.....as long as they are pink. No, really. Her carry weapon is a pink handled Smith and Wesson Bodyguard. I've been able to keep her satiated with a variety of inexpensive pink knives like the mini griptilian and the Boker "Cruel Girl". So she comes up to me a few weeks ago and said "I found another knife you can get me". I'm thinking "Great, she found the Spyderco pink knives now." Oh no, not even CLOSE. She pulls up the page and there's the collaberation between Victorionox.........AND TIFFANY AND CO.!!!!!

I am NOT paying $%^&%*^&*@!%(*^*(&* $300 for a damned swiss army knife!!!!!!

:eek::D

I know exactly how you feel... my girlfriend is the same way. Even if it's crappy, as long as it's pink she wants it!

Heh, that's the other problem....she doesn't want crappy and pink...she wants QUALITY and pink. GREAT.

I expect to hear "Honey, do you think Reeves would make a pink Seben...." she won't get out the "ZA" because I'll have cut her off with a "Don't even f'in think about it!!!" LOL

One has to wonder where you meet such a nice PINK knife loving lady like that:thumbup:. Cuz all the ones I know give me funny looks when I have my knife out.

my wifes the same but with orange, shes gonna end up stealing my knives with orange micarta handles!!!

This is one I did for a woman in early 2006...Remington 11-87 Do you need help in how reverse psychology works? Do you know what it's like to hear " I saw you checking out that shotgun, you want it?" Or do you know what it's like to hear.. "What! another one?" ? I found out which one works better...:D

Mine wants everything in Camo, cuz she doesnt want to be seen as "girly", plus deer and other animals see pink (her quote not mine).

I agree with the above. Would you rather hear "oh do they make that in pink?" or "what is that ANOTHER one? They all look the same:yawn:".

I'll stick with the first one.

She's a keeper, get the $300 one quick that gives you a get out of jail free card for your future purchases. My wife tolerates it as she would rather have knives and guns around the house then me hanging out at the bar but I can't say she's really into it.

The woman C.C.'s a Smith and has a grip in her purse.
That suggests she's confident and adventurous. You're a lucky guy; I wish mine was more like that.

Good stuff.

Got me thinking. My wife's thing is horses. (you think knives are addictive and expensive ... ? They don't call horses the "sport of kings" for nothing) I mean she's hard core, if a bone ain't protruding they still ride (serious) We ran a
big professional barn for 7 years. Indoor arena, the whole bit. Sold it 4 years ago. (she still hasn't forgiven me...LOL)

Anyway, she's always borrowing a knife from me, or asking me to drill some new hole in some piece of tack. Or cut something or,or,or

She doesn't carry a knife other that the small Vic I gave her for her key chain (always using the scissors)

The pink thing. She surprised me one time and bought a pair of Winter muck
boots with PINK INLAYS. Loved the laughs she got from the other borders. (go figure) So maybe, just maybe if I got her a pink knife she might hold onto it.

That's the other think, she looses EVERYTHING. Attention span of a guppy.

So too make a long story short ... I'm thinking a pink, equestrian knife, that's not too big, (some type of multi tool function wouldn't hurt, like an awl and scissors) And some thing resonable (she'll loose it) But, maybe if she likes it
she'll hold on to it.

Thanks for the idea. I'll bet Spyderco will have something.

That's about twice as expensive as the list pricing on these guys, and they're prettier. :p

several pink AR's showing up at Ft Benning 3gun match, carried by some pretty hardcore Rangers/SF (probable SFODD) in support of the Susan G Koman, breast cancer awareness....I think everyone has a friend/loved one afflicted... hopefully a survivor
