This showed up today. It is so much more of a cookbook than what I was expecting. It is plumb full of info, I'll be reading on this for a while. Years of cooking. What a wealth of knowledge inside these covers.

Yeah, before I was even born my mother was using it as her favorite cookbook, and so I grew up eating and cooking with recipes from that book. Until a couple years ago I never knew the people behind it, makes it that much better honestly.

Sure is! I didn't have a very big balance, but it was higher than I'd normally let it get, so no balance is nice.

Man, I would so love to get to Ethan's - and the PNW fo sho! - and meet some more of you 'Heads. Y'all know you're welcome up at the Northeast anytime, too. Maybe a little sentimental, but - that first Gathering I went to at trailbum's turned out to be a little like going home. Lots more to say on that subject, however: mil gracias, Ethan. I feel fortunate for this "family of choice" that's coalesced here under your roof.
