Im good guys. Been a long time. I rebuilt a historic cabin right around the corner from Uncle E's, had me reminiscing a little. I've only made 3 knives in the past 2 years to take on hunting trips. So not really making anymore. Just been working like crazy and bought a little farm. How you guys been?

How have we been?? Missing your knives!!

(hi! :D)

Make more knives. Or, show me how, haha. Really liked the blades you offered.

Man o man, hang around here long enough and I'll have to dust off my grinder. I'm sure I could manage a butterknife build

Build one, sell it to five or six people and you'll be right back in business.

*lol*
Remembering that episode of "Pretending to be lost in the woods" now. :D

I bought a knife from Brother Tackett at one of the gatherings. Found out the next day he also sold it to four other people later that evening. I believe alcohol was involved somehow, but it was sheer marketing genius. :D

Alcohol, my friend had nothing to do with it, thats blasphemy. I had it sold before we got there, I was just testing the market. Although I do remember watching a guy slice a potato into paper thin slices for about an hour, solely for the hell of it. When asked why are you cutting that potato, he replied simply, I'm drunk.

I been out of the game a while, I need one of those bk21s. This is all Pysops fault, I can't believe that guy.

local maker space rocks

checked out on some cool tools today... 1 inch wide bladed re-saw band saw - 3phase/600V - low and slow on that one

will definitely practice on the baby bandsaw for a while...

metal lathe! check!

router table! check! i need one of those, and a good fence. $$$

tax return coming "soon"

kinda want a drill press too and lots of Forstners ;) not sure why, just cuz...

at least i won't have to buy many of the big tools for a while, as long as my projects are portable...

a cheap chainsaw mill and ripping setup should net me some planks for the band saw and planer (16" x 5") with carbide cutter. noice.

so much potential.

will learn MIG soon, and update on stick and gas welding.

but now, to see if i can find a dado stack for the old school radial arm saw (not a compound mitre) - 10 inch blade i think

Renaissance man?

Have a look at Cy Swan when you get a few minutes.

Well, crap. Just figured out I'm going to have to call the HVAC guy tomorrow. Our downstairs air conditioner is out.

At least it's February and not August so it's not too hot in the house, but jeez.

Ha ha. I woke to 6 inches of new snow so I shoveled and snowblowed and went to work.
Another 5 fell while I was at work so i came home and did it again.

Lather, rinse, repeat...

Wow that's a lot of snow. I'll shut up now. I hope spring finds you eventually.

And fine slices they were.
