Tracking # means today, Ronnie. That's how mine worked. And Skunk don't use insurance anymore so you don't have to hang around for the sign-off. (WHEW!)

If mailed USPS priority, and insured for $200 or over it must be signed for even if no SC.

Or at least that's what my PO tells me???

Hmmm no box for me yet either. Course I didnt order mine until thursday. Anxiously awaiting it, hoping it comes today. Wont get much play though with this darn rain the next day or two.

huh? well ours are insured for full value but through endicia's insurance. that is diff than the usps insurance, maybe thats why it doesn't require a sig?

.

What's an endicia? Is that some kind of lizard?

Yep, thats the differance. Thats good that you use endicia:thumbup:, or several would be having to drive to PO to sign for and pick up knives.

I think it's that toad that was chopped last night.

Skunk - how do you get ins. w/o signature??? I'd love to have that option. I hate when I have to hang around waiting for an insured package. I was so happy to come home on Friday and find mine hanging from the mailbox.

we use a program called "dazzle" by endicia at https://www.endicia.com/
they sell a postage program that allows bulk scanning so if i buy postage from them at my puter it will print one scan form for all the packages on that day. it also prints free delivery confirm and provides it's own insurance for a buck a hundred or so. so when i go to the post office i hand them a huge mail bag and they scan one bar code and i'm done.

This just goes to show that Skunk is always looking for ways to maximize drinking time.

back to a review, i realize that the sar blade is not heavy or long enough for chopping but the chopping i have done with this sar is awesome. the handle design is way better than the ergo and the fusion IMHO because there is -0- pinky pinch! your hand can slide back to the rear swell and there it stops. the knife can not fly away and no pinch. also as noted before with a good center grip i can pound with the butt and have no fear of sliding off or getting too close to what i'm pounding. i broke up a block of ice using the butt and it worked great, so no more knives stuck through coolers. the rounded butt also allows it to be palmed either by a push or a strike and won't hurt your hand. i am a certified teacher of cooking hot dogs and cutting willows for such, and believe me, i know what i'm talking about!

brb, i'm hungry....

How does one get a certification in hot-dog cooking? I can do them 3 ways, at least. (Boiled, pan-fried, grilled) Not to mention chopped up with a can of beans.

I concur with the handle part. It really is designed for what it is used for.

try burning one in a fire on a willow stick, it's wonderful, speccily if your kids are doing the cooking!

and a fifth way used when traveling fast on the road.

Of course, kids these days don't know what a cigarette lighter is.

btw Skunk, I'm thinking we'll cook hot dogs at our next Busse Chop In. Maybe you can fly in and show us hows it's done?
