Here's a comparison pic:

It really does not compare with the NMSFNO.

The NMSFNO is a massive beast compared to this light and fast razor.

By the way the edge is SICK!

Add: my calipers say just under .21 for thickness versus .222 for my SAR4.

This thing also makes me wonder how the Bushwacker/Battle Rattle will feel with it's thin blade.

Can't wait to find out.

Steelnut, here it is with a ZTBM. :)

'Skunk, in a word... Awesome!! What a great mid-size blade!!

it's now my favorite mid sized blade

i have to agree

it's about as heavy as my ZTBM but balanced closer to the handle (just past the edge of the scales). has enough heft and length for some pretty decent chopping while remaining very versatile due to thickness and balance. this thing is friggin awesome. glad i didn't have the will to resist

guess jaxx beat me by a little bit. i'll have to practice a bit more

it is very similar to the ergo but better imho, mikeh is going to be sorry he didn't get one because he's an ergo lover from way back!

Im terribly fond of that SAR8, biggest reason is the wonderful handle from the SAR4. God help me if i ever see one up for sale...

Hey, around here, "The More You Know"...

...The poorer you get!! :foot: ;);)

So true! I want one, but it's not in the budget with the Tank Busters I have on order right around the corner. Not to mention the ungodly amazing Bushwacker Mistress!!!

Thanks for reminding me about the bushwacker of course lets see how many versions of the Sar8 come out.

Great pics guys, thanks and keep 'em coming!!

I hope there is a SAR-8 SE offering in the near future. I really would like to get an LE, but I just can't afford it right now (E-6 salary doesn't stretch very far these days!). You guys are killing me with the pics of MULTIPLE SAR-8's!! If someone out there bought multiples with the intention to sell later......I'll be first in line if the price isn't too inflated!
