I haven't posted a blade in a month or two. Been too busy with suppressors and waiting for this wood to arrive during the "shut down" and tariffs. 'Nuff said about that. Anyway, if you have seen my prior posts, I am 77 and too old and weak to forge. But, I design blades like this one and have a forge that makes the blades for me. The steel is 1095 and 15n20. The blade is 5" and the handle is 4.5" The wood, says my Indonesian supplier friend, is a spalted Mahogany. You can see the growth rings in the handles. I stabilized it with an orange dye to put a little more color in it. I wear everything I put together. This one is for me (5'10'', 190 lbs) perfectly comfortable in the 4 o'clock position, sitting and standing, and I don't even notice I am wearing it. This is my hobby. I am not in the business of producing knives. But, I have so many that I have put together with unbelievably beautiful wood that I occasionally put a blade up on Blade Forums to see if anyone else appreciates the finished product like I do. It is offered for sale for $125, with a right handed Boltaron sheath, but I can make a left handed for you. For that price, I will send it to you anywhere in the continental US. Unconditional return policy. Don't like it, send it back to me unused, and I will send you the full purchase price.

welcome back retired old man, beautiful Damascus knife you have there. Glad to see you're keeping your hobby going and dont have the "Im retired dont ask me to do anything" mindset, that can make you old ! take care and glws

Solid Rock, I don't know your age, but when I got your message I thought of Sally Fields at the 1985 Oscar acceptance speech when she said "you like me!" I have many blades, the one listed is the latest, which I am lovingly wearing. I don't know how to sell a knife, I am not in the business. Maybe I should have figured that out before I posted a knife. I haven't tried Venmo or Paypal because maybe my feeble mind can't figure out how to get money using those, although they have no problem when I send money. If you want the knife and send me an email at this site we can work out the details. Even if you don't want to buy it, thank you for letting me know you like it enough to inquire how to buy it. I put my heart and soul in my hobby where my woods are what I spend my countless hours on, and someone who loves knives as much as I do and letting me know that they appreciate the result is to me, priceless!

Hey R Retired Old Man , you should remove your email from this thread so you don’t get scammed in the future.

S Solid Rock Blades you should buy a basic membership (like $10/year) here so you can communicate via direct message with ROM. This will also keep you from getting scammed. It’s good insurance and lets you know you are talking with the actual seller.

ROM if you already use Venmo, share your ID and last 4 digits of your cell phone number with SRB. Also only do this via a direct message. Once you receive payment, you can transfer the money directly to your bank account. It’s really easy.

Good luck guys!

Smiticus, thank you. Me get scammed? Can probably happen because I trust people. I tried to removed my email. With the world in the miserable shape it is in, if I got scammed, I wouldn't be surprised and it would just erode further my hope for humanity. What kind of world are we all leaving my grandchildren? I only have $75-$90 in every blade I make. My time? I am getting more efficient so I only have usually about 6 hours in prep and hand sanding, including making the sheath. But, if I recover $4/hr for my time, and my out of pocket expense, to me it is not a business and a money maker, it just creates more room in my box containing my finished knives. My brother, it really makes me sad as an old man that we have to worry about being scammed. Not the world I grew up in in the country where a man's word was his bond. But, thank you for caring enough to give me advice.
