Geeze Nick!

:D

I'll second that!!

I was hoping to get to say "metal cutting bandsaw" but this yokel jumped me!

All I can say is, I must be living in the stone age. I don't have squat compared to you guys and to the jewelers around here. No wonder I work so hard to do so little! :D

Rotary table for the mill? How about a collet indexer as well? A mill by itself is fairly useless without all the accessories:)

Good idea for a thead.
I've been collecting knifemaking tools for 20 years :D The 4 tools I would not want to do without are my 100# Little Giant, my variable speed Bader lll ,my cheap metal cutting bandsaw and my drill press. I have alot more tools but these I have to have.

Chuck's list looks a little better than mine :)

I forgot a Rockwell hardness tester

And yes, for those of you wondering, all I do is throw some stuff out the back door into the shop and hit some buttoms and WHAM-O!!! I have a knife ready to sell...

Nick, looking at your list, I think you win :)

Of course he wins, he's the ONLY one who has a file! :)

I mean, if you only could have ONE tool, wouldn't that be it? I bet I'm not the only one who did their first knife with not much more than that.

Yeah,I got those toys, too. But my important things are:
Leather apron
Trend Airshield
Didymium glasses
gloves
fire extinguisher
ventilating system
First aid cabinet
OTHER TOYS:
post vise
table saw-wood
band saw-wood
drying cabinet
vacuum casting outfit
micro torch system
Sharpening stones,laps,hones,etc.

DARN, I can see right now I'm way under tooled. Maybe I need to rephrase that. :D :D

What ever happened to just a couple good files and a hacksaw. Throw in a BBQ pit to heat treat and your in business. I guess it comes down to how dies with the most toys (tools) wins.

I do like Nicks list though, come on powerball. :D
