Ok, new 9" bladed Camp Knife Drawing!

Super Kill!!! Sign me up for one in April when you got some more time on your hands. Nice pic ol_sc...

Chris, just a "hmmnn" thought, & I know this goes against most. "IF" you made the sheaths from Kydex, & especially with a knife of this size, would that help with the cost ? (thinking ESEE Junglas & how it works).
Just a thought . . . . and if a bad idea, just tell the old man & I will go sit in the corner until these are ready . . . . . :D
Be safe.

That's going to be very nice! The handle size looks to be perfect for me, too.

Bill, Ive thought about Kydex. Problem is they would have to have the knife to do it so that would incur additional expense. I think I can get leather for a better price.

What style of sheaths would you like to see on these? Square bottom dangler like the Kephart, regular foldover sheath with belt loop, Bowie style rig with a strap at top, other suggestions?

A square bottom dangler like the kephart would work with me. Nice thing about that is if you dont feel like having it dangle it can be used on the belt loop like a foldover sheath; basically gives you two options in one sheath design. But I am always open to other ideas as well...

Yep,a dangler would be good for that size blade IMO.(great for sitting)
Some folks like to strap their big blades to their packs also,so maybe the option of a universal with a MOLLE strap?

+1 as well Mykel. I have my Junglas strapped on the side of my Vulcan-II and it fits perfect, out of the way and yet can still be grabbed if needed. Usually a 4" or 5" fixed blade is on my belt if the wonderful Sally T. & I happen to be out and about.
Be safe.

Sounds even better. Another loop towards the bottom on the backside to secure it nicely to a pack or even your leg while it dangles is a great idea.

Had a thought today, what do you guys think about a camp knife with the handle shape of The Hunter????? I actually prefer that handle shape over palm swells but don't know how it would work on a knife this size. Maybe Ill just do one and see!

Personally, a knife that size would be nice to have the contoured handle for extra chopping powah!

Sounds pretty good to me, Of course, You could always do the Hunter style handle and incorporate a palm swell into it. (The best of both worlds.)
Heard that Van Halen song on the way to New Hampshire today.:)

Interesting, love the hunter handle,I'd make it a bit fatter for a chopper though.Bump it up like you bumped it down for the bushpik.(I assume you made it smaller for the pik?)
Maybe OL will draw one up eh?

Put my name in the hat and add another to your list. As always just surprise me.....

I like the Bushpik handle a lot, so if it was bigger on the 9" knife, I think it'd work out really nice.
