  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Ok, we're gonna do this right, this time....

Never, had I had such a great conversation with someone I had never met before. I enjoyed an over a hour long phone conservation with Ethan a while back. Concerning one of the old contests. What a cool and down to earth guy. We talked about knives, outdoor skills, Indians, fire, fishing, custom makers, women, wildwood wisdom, but yeah, he needs a great page written up for him.

i wont lie, cook books dont tickle my fancy, so i must have never really paid much attention. my bad

No worries.

A lot of folks don't realize that he wrote the world's best selling cookbook. Or that he attended Cordon Bleu to become a chef.

Or that he used to get paid a nickel for chipmunk pelts from his grandma.

Stuff like that.

Good luck. Wiki is notorious for deleting bio pages for people they deem "not famous enough". Fingers crossed...

Yeah, I've heard that.

Who knows, might not amount to anything, but if Eagleton Village has a wikipedia page, I think the author of the Joy of Cooking should have at least something.

How about the guy that hangs out with him the most. Somebody that's his friend, but also has the ability to still stand back and say "damn, that's Ethan Damn Becker"?

Someone who dont drink too much Jack Daniels tho...we dont need a wiki page full of typos and ''hay guys hold my beer and watch this'' stories! LMAO

actually, I WOULD read a wiki page full of ''hay guys hold my beer and watch this'' stories.....

Hey Moose,

What kind of timelines are you looking at for this project? I'm an editor and writer.

What's to really say? Best blade there is, built by the man who's seen it and done it. Place your orders now....

and THAT is exactly the kinda stuff i would find interesting. ive already came up with a title for the book....
"Ethan Becker...the Man, the Mystery, the Myth" ....pretty darn catchy if i do say so myself. :D itd go on the top shelf right next to my Elmer Keith books.

I'd be willing to help, even if just proof read or translate the "hay hold muh beer and watch this" into "Then on this one occasion..." stories.

I wouldn't mind proof reading either, Haze can vouch for my grammar nazi binges.
