OK, What'd Santa Bring Ya? (traditional knives only!)

No knives for me but my wife, sister-in-law, and niece all got at least a simple, single-blade slip joint in their favorite handle color for Christmas or birthday (sister-in-law and niece have late December birthdays). Wife and niece got a nice traditional fixed blade too. I'm still alive though. Seems a scarf and a shawl trump the fixed blade she isn't really sure what to do with.

No new knives here, but I was fortunate enough to be able to gift a fine stag handled #72 Northfield which was warmly received :D

go on ya blademan 13

i gifted the top knife
boys knife in cocobolo to one brother in law that said he wanted a " good pocket knife"....i made sure w./ my wife he didnt want some pocket clip thing & wanted a "true pocket knife"

& a case mini trapper in red bone to the other BIL that expressed intrest in a pocket knife....and is a UGA grad

Nice gesture as well Phillip, both very nice knives although maybe a "Bulldog" folder would have been more appropriate ;)

Well, no knives but I did get a new desk chair. Since I'll be sitting in it whenever I am cleaning, sharpening, and otherwise maintaining my knives I'd say it's knife related, plus it's where I sit when posting on this forum unless I'm using the wife's iPad.

I did increase my traditionals-to-moderns ratio by gifting a modern flipper that I had bought but never used to a nephew that I didn't know was into knives. Which is cool because now I have a potential protege.

To keep this on topic, I got to use my Case Medium Stockman that I was carrying to open the box the chair came in, as well as sundry other small boxes containing the parts needed to assemble it.

My wife stopped by Wilferd Works and got this for me, Boy was I surprised.... I'm a blessed man!

Merry Christmas

My stocking held a nice new Case full sized sod buster with a stainless blade. I really am growing to this simple knife.

My fiancée bought me a knife I couldn't believe it as she used to just call me a knife weirdo & think it was a strange obsession lol. She actually did an awesome job to as I had been wanting this Broker Tree stockman with the yellow bone for a while now!

Apparently she looked at my eBay shopping cart & found that I had been watching this knife. :)

Like many of you, I had to "scrape by" with only the knives I brought with me. However, I was lucky enough to gift a Vic alox classic to my dad to replace an old keychain SAK I gave him over 10 years ago that recently lost scale. I also gifted ma an Opinel No. 7 in Inox for picnic use, but she has already said that she wants to use it in the kitchen too (there is a serious sharp knife defect in the kitchen...next time I visit I'm bringing stones to fix that). Happy Holidays to y'all!

Great knives folks, glad you all had a lovely Christmas. No new knives here just yet (which I'm perfectly happy with), but I got a couple of Levine books and another knife storage cabinet. Had a lovely day with friends, got family tomorrow. Meal went great, we all ate way too much of course. Apart from a couple of bottles of beer, we drank wine all day, so I have a fridge and cupboards still crammed with beer. Hmmm, what am I going to do today?! ;) :D
