OK, What'd Santa Bring Ya? (traditional knives only!)

No pics yet, but received a GEC #15 radio in antique yellow and gifted two SAK huntsmen which were both big hits!

My son and I, without knowing the other was doing it, each gave the other a Condor Kephart. Nice belt knife and for the money, a solid beater neither of us will need to worry about losing in the woods. We both shared a good laugh over giving each other the same knife. He also gifted me a new sleeping bag, as my old Sears Ted Williams approved model that I've been using since 1959 just doesn't cut it for backpacking. Hope y'all had a very happy Christmas!

Santa brought me a No 9 Opinel in stainless steel. (Sorry no pictures)

It didn't come very sharp, but I was able to put a pretty wicked edge on it. Looking forward to putting it to very good use.

It was a Schrade-Walden Christmas for me:

Still waiting for Santa to stuff it down the chimney but a Buck 709 Yearling to replace the one that I sold. This one seems to have much more edge left than the original one that I purchased!

A friend of mine gave me a tiny carbone Opinel No. 3.
She saw it in a shop and just thought it was a toy, but I explained that it was a real knife. I then proceeded to demonstrate by zipping through the plastic blister packaging on one of her gifts. Went through like butter.

Oh, and I got a gift card to the big river online store. It lasted about 12 hours. I now have a set of Mora carvers coming my way. I've never used those, but I've read great things about them.

My low budget gift to some friends is I will sharpen their kitchen knives for them. I better wrap up some band-aids for them, too:D

We always open gifts on Christmas eve, and it is always nice to see what everyone got this year.
My stocking was blessed with a curly zebrawood #49 Cattle King stockman in D2. Yipeeeee!

I've got an Arthur Wright Lambsfoot with ox horn covers on the way. Hope it's going to be OK as, unusually, it was bought mail order.

Not much of a pic I'm afraid.
