So I've been putting together a murse project, and the endeavor has resulted in what I'm calling the Beckerhead Modular Murse (BMM) ©.
Weight currently comes in at 5 lbs. 14 oz. I know you guys like the exploded view, so I'm breaking it down by compartment.

Here I am modeling the Beckerhead Modular Murse © with my matching OD belt.
I'm presently consulting with a fashion-coordination team at TackleF@#$ Forge and Design Institute.
We're collaborating on some OD tactical nylon footwear and head gear to complete the ensemble.

ive upgraded from a maxped fatboy to a monsoon for my edc so its not necessarily a murse per say, but my wife calls it that and i will do a break down if its allowed.

I use a maxpedition fatboy for day trips.

I also have a 10x4 set-up with I-pouches on each side for a brew/ultralight kit.

Dude, you're in denial. If it ain't got two straps, it's a murse. :D

I have been looking for a smaller pack for quick trips or to keep in the Jeep just because. Lets keep the pictures coming!

Clich, I'd like to see your Monsoon. Been checking out the gearslingers lately.

I'll post up shots later of the set up for outings but I carry a murse everyday. I can't seem to fit all my junk in my pockets.

The Murse:

Junk inside:

Checkbook
Wallet
Maxped water proof paper
Parker Jotter
Fisher pen
Pager (it's a work thing)
Keys
Leatherman
Ibuprofin
Capsule and whistle
iTouch
Evo android
SAK

Basically just a bunch of junk that I don't want to be stuck out without having.

The tins got some stuff like an esee arrowhead and some firestraws, the peanut butter is for bait sticks, and the rope i found yesterday dunno if its jute but it sure is flammable.

not pictured is the space saver cup coming tomorrow, also a compass and the spare batteries for my fenix. All i need to do is shove the 10x10 tarp in the bag and ill be setup for a few days.

No pix from me, (cant get em off my phone for some reason) but I edc a countycomm EOD mine bag in coyote, with a Maxped medium tactie pouch, a maxped mini rollypolly and a condor pocket organizer attached to it

Guyon, that's a pretty solid setup. You have pretty much the amalgamated internet consensus of minimal gear. Didn't see duct tape, fresnel lens, space pen or idodine tablets. Probably also need more Ti gear.

(nice minimal kit

I just picked up this Czech M26 mag pouch for a Murse project. Its a pretty sweet pouch, all canvas and leather. Im thinking this has to be 1940's or earlier. It came with some kind of burlap/leather strap. First time I've ever seen a burlap strap, I don't think it would hold up to much abuse.

So next up, the mods. I am going to put on a canvas webbing strap with a leather pad. I may do a strap looped through the keepers on the pouch, and use D-rings to attach a seperate strap. I was thinking this because it would pivot on the rings instead of binding up where the strap hangs from the pouch. Then I am going to add a leather carry handle on top.

I plan to make this a quick hike bag(or should I say box ;) ),just enough space for a canteen and a few other items.

Clich- First Aid Kit. At least a bandanna, and you'll be someone's hero someday. :)
Guyon- Apperantly I'm really hard on my gear, the corners on mine were fraying within a week, still use it though, no more problems yet.
tradewater- You can always remember to ask us for pix, we all have murses.

Cool set ups guys!! I really need to add a few things to my kit/murse.One thing I can think of right off hand is some food. I don't have any in there, but I so have some snares; that counts for something right?

I have a SOTECH sling bag that I use for my murse. I don't have any pix of it yet. I'll try to take some this weekend and post 'em up.

I didn't say, but in the OP, that's a Condor 10x4 water bottle holder in the center.
The other pouches are Fox Tactical--a single 30 round mag pouch and two of the multi-purpose pouches.
I think Condor and Fox stuff is actually made by the same company.

Mine just rides in the truck in case I need that stuff, so it hasn't exactly seen a lot of hard use.

Definitely some tape and water tabs. Maybe a pen and Rite-in-the-Rain tablet. I wish I could find a chopped down version of a full-size Nalgene. Anybody ever seen a 3/4 version with the wide mouth?

Got both. That blue thing in the pic is BIG kit and it has a bandana inside. I was thinking of adding some quikclot just to have to it but I'm not sure about that

I've been using this one lately. It looks good with flats and jeans for a quick run to the mall.
