How about a "Sabre 631" Origional Bowie? I bought it in 1968 at a convenience store. My cousin bought one just like it and we had contests throwing it into an Avacodo tree, so I had to tape the handle scales back on with electrical tape. I used it to scrape gaskets on my '65 Mustang when changing heads or water pump. Actually managed to cut a few radiator hoses with it. Since then it scrapes most old gaskets, paint, glue, or cement. Just sharpened it for about the 5th time last week.

My POS knife is used for cutting bonsai soil. Bonsai soil is a mix of 1/3 sand, 1/3 volcanic pebbles, 1/3 organic matter. And ....cleaning....bonsai pots which are ceramic and need scraping.
Also paint scraping, grease scraping (like a grungy car part), prying up (or apart) things.
REALLY crummy things. Sometimes CUTTING wire. I'll use a good knife to strip wire.
I could fill a dumpster with all the brush I've cleared with my $10 machete made in South Africa. After the chores are done, it's 5 passes with the $9 carbide sharpener, 2 sprays of WD-40 and it's back in the sheath for next time.
I have a cheap little lockback I got free when I purchased a Simmons scope many years ago. I use it alot while working making knives. It scrapes, cuts cardboard, sewing thread for sheath making, cuts chute cord for lanyards and any other cutting I need to do. For work, I made a small utility/ box cutter. I cut alot of cardboard and plastic for eight hours. You could say it's a custom box cutter. Here's a pic
I used Gerber EZ-Outs as my beaters when I worked at a hardware store, could buy them for $20 through the store. The blades were useless after about a year of cutting cardboard (would be significantly smaller size from sharpening). Now I carry a CRKT M16-00K as my EDC/beater.
Well, either one of my Striders or my Emerson CQC-6.. i don't have any cheapies that i use just because my more expensive knives might get scratched/dirty/dented.
To me the reason that i buy knives like my SnG's/Gb/HT or CQC-6 is that they can take the abuse and look happy afterwards.
Some dents/scratches etc. just make'em look better
I have one cheap knife in particular that gets used a lot. Its a POS imitation SAK that I use all the time for chores I would normally never use a knife for. It mixes epoxy, pries open cans of stain, scrapes gunk off metal, etc... About the only thing I don't use it for is cutting things; it sucks at that.
