Okay, new question, what are you driving?

I'm pushing a 1991 S-10 Blazer, 4 door, 4wd, 4.3 liter motor. The 4 high is acting up on me, it needs a lot of little work done, it's on its second engine, at about 210k  , it will probably need a new transmission soon, most Blazers need the automatic transmission replaced after 150k. I've still got the factory AM/FM/cassette deck, I was playing a portable cd player through it, but I am going to cough up some change for a cd player. It runs, and runs well, surprisingly for the high mileage. The price was very good, I've maybe put about 3500 into it. The only problem is that I work about 40 miles away from home, and I love to travel, I put at least 100 miles per day on the motor, consequently, I am changing my oil about once a month, and I am filling up three times a week, that's at least 400 a month  .

So, I am saving up for a down payment on a Chevrolet Silverado 1500 crew cab or extra cab, 2002 or earlier (I hate the new design they came up with in 2003 for the front end), 4wd, maybe Z71, 5.6 liter engine or better, I don't need leather seats, cloth is actually preferred, I do need an AM/FM/CD deck, power windows and door locks etc, bucket seats. Throw a tool box on the back of the truck, and I'll be set.

Last year I bought 2 new cars - a 2004 Ford Excursion Diesel 4x4 and a 2004 Ford SVT Cobra. This year they're both for sale. I'm fed up with Ford, I knew better when I bought them and I did it anyhow.

I'm going to replace them with Hondas I think.

My other car is a '67 prostreet Chevelle, blown 454, tubbed, etc. and of course I wouldn't sell that for the world ;)

Trek Fuel 80 with a Manitou Axel Super '05 front fork. I have a car as well but it sits there gathering dust for the last year or so. I figure I'm gonna sell it and buy a beat up old workhorse of a pickup truck.

I've got a 2002 Ford Ranger FX4, extended cab. V6, 5 Speed. Manual transfer case. Very nice package, power everything, with a cd and cassette.

I want a Line-X bedliner and an XM radio, but I've been pretty happy with it. I'd rather had the automatic, but since I bought it as a leftover, it would have cost a lot more.

I have a 2004 Subaru WRX wagon 5 spd, my girlfriend has a 2005 Subaru Outback wagon, automatic, non turbo. It is my 3rd Subaru and her 2nd.

You guys probably can't tell from my avatar, but I have a '90 Nissan 300ZX. Low miles...great condition...tons of fun to drive. Here's a few pictures! :D

2001 Toyota Tundra

I am almost 99% for the Silverado, I have been swayed by the new 05 Tundras, any pros and cons from ya Owen? Even though I don't know you guys and gals on here, I still feel better getting an opinion from consumers, rather than, say, a magazine or website. BTW, my other truck is an 85 Toyota 2wd truck, I was toying with the idea of turning it into a lowrider, but there is so much rust on the truck, I've decided against it. It has over 250k, but it still runs, although it coughs like a mule in a dust storm. It's started rattling, the engine appears fine, if I kick it above 70mph, the engine literally starts screaming, so I figure if I take care of it, it may last another 3 years tops. But, I'm definitely done with old used cars, maybe something 3 years old or newer. KINZLI, I really like the design of the F250 and F350, the new F150's are a dramatic improvement upon the most recent design of the late 90's and 00. I like the super duty Excursions, and the old Broncos, but I would never touch a Ford, if I won a Ford, or was given a Ford, I would sell it and use the money to buy a Chevy or a Toyota. Maybe its just my parents experience with Ford, but I really have a strong distaste for Dodge and Ford.

Nissan made a big mistake discontinuing the 300zx. That was one of their best designs. Superb car you got there.

Currently here in the uk i'm driving a Nissan Almera 1998 model. No problems whatsoever. Starts every time even in winter. It's not a great looker but does the job. Quite a nice size for my usage.

I just can't believe the cars you americans have. Big big big. If i lived in the countryside i'd want a Land Rover Discovery or a Toyate Land Cruiser.

I'm not familiar with the newer models from either brand beyond what I've read. Doesn't matter what I think, anyway.
Drive them, sit in them, see what's best for you. Noone else can make that decision-you're the one driving it every day, not to mention paying for it.
I LOVE this truck. I say that out loud while driving down the road all the time. Said it when I test-drove it before buying.
Get the one that makes you say that;)

Point44, is that Lone Wolf and Cub as your avatar? Are the movies worth seeing?

One of the greatest samurai series of all time. Even gets high ratings from movie critics like leonard maltin.

anyway, don't watch shogun assassin. get the proper japanese version. Start with sword of vengeance and then baby cart at the river styx which is the best of the whole lot. You need to at least watch these 2 first.

Down to three vehicles for now, and they are:

2003 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD 4x4 black ext cab with a 6.0
2003 Monte Carlo SS black
1978 Monte Carlo Landau 305 v8 w/49,000 orig miles

Actually this car doesn't get driven much at all, and I'm not sure what my plans will be for it, but I will never sell it. Belonged to my grandparents, and I went with them to pick it up in 78.

7 year old German shepard from the seeing eye in New Jersey. Lots of miles but still runs great, does tend to pull towards discarded junk food but gets more attention from the ladies then any car.. Fuel is cheaper too;-)>
