Off topic: The dog or ? that belonged to the owner of this stick did not run fast enough away when called. Have you ever wondered how to dress up a stick?

It is moro, not Buck (not unless a reblade...).

Great Pictures, Oregon... Did you buy that David Yellowhorse 112 with the fish on the blade??? ITE ...

I see that precise inlay work and I wonder how human hands can make such gap-free scenes on the scale of a knife. I was watching an engraver at work at OKCA. He was looking thru a large well-lighted lens, big as my head, that made the tiny bit of scroll work look like a football field. It looked like a lineman could run down the groove of the etched line. I suppose that is how the inlaws are made and fitted, while looking at them magnified many times. I'd like to see it while being done. Probably a trade secret, however.

howdy there oegon

Sorry Dave. I don't see that on my end. I use dialup, no other choice, and I think when I am uploading Photobucket goes on tilt. I know that just about every time I put pics on Photobucket I have to restart my computer.

Email me your mailing address and I will send you a CD with the photos from the show on it for your convenience if you like.

Joe can hack it. He was joking about himself with me when I was at the Buck table. He is someone that I admire. I feel that way about every Buck person that I've met. A company of role models.

I am not sure I CAN hack it Oregon. I just typed a nice long reply to this thread, hit the submit button, and it vanished. I really think the surgeon unplugged some of my brain wires while he was rooting around in my chest, and he forgot to plug them all back in. At least thats going to be my excuse! Thank you so much for all the pictures and sorry we did not get a chance to talk more.
By the way, the collection of HH Buck knives is Maralee's, not mine...just ask her. (Its mine if she is not within earshot!)
My thanks to everyone for all the kind comments, encouragement, and prayers. It really did make things go a lot more smoothly and I can never thank you enough!!

Thanks Joe, glad to hear this good news. Don't think your the Lone Ranger, I've had that happen to a long well written post too. Then I didn't care to rewrite it. My wife tells me the same
thing about my pay check... ;) DM
